Add NPCs to all cantinas

Add NPCs to all cantinas

Proposal
For whatever reason, only the cantina in Mos Eisley has random NPCs sitting around or playing music (as far as I know). I propose that all cantinas in the Galaxy be given the same treatment.
Justification
This change should hopefully encourage Entertainers and players to spread out more rather than clustering at Mos Eisley cantina.
Motivation
Non Mos Eisley cantinas can feel very dead or lonely without NPCs around, especially when they also tend to be much less occupied by actual player Entertainers.
With the population boom from 1.0 I think the server now has the population to support Entertainers in more locations.

Yes, many new entertainers have told me they want to spread out to other locations and some have, however, the player base needs REASONS to go there so ents make credits. Facts are facts, most people are in Eisley, and 5 master ents are needed there at peaks times to buff everyone.

Some npc and decorations would be nice in any npc city cantina, I don't see how this would make them more atractive for the entertainers to stick around though :) Players will go to a cantina, where they know they can find reliable entertainers. This takes time, dedication and some daily advertisement.

Agreed. it's not only the cantinas but some buildings are completely empty, not even one piece of furniture in them. Too bad they can't touch that up, add NPC's or even sell empty buildings to players to use.

You dont see how NPC's could offer quests?

There are NPCs who offer quests everywhere, not only in Mos Eisley cantina. I think this PV is about the decorative NPCs who sit around or play music not about adding more quest NPCs. As I said people would go where they know they can find enteratiners, currently entertainers go where they know they can have traffic, that said they would never spread around if they are not ready to stay a couple of days without tips just advertising their service in a certain cantina.

I feel like advertising the Services Finder page for Doctors and Ents would help a lot, for both sides of the equation. Only Ents really ever register it seems. If you know you can find an Ent and Doctor in ME, but don't know you can find both in the same place anywhere else, then you'll likely go to ME to kill both those birds with one stone.

Would be great if doctors could register in cantinas as well as hospitals. I run mine by my entertainer but can't register him on that site. I only register my entertainer everyday.

Doesn't seem right. If that's the case, why not starports where some docs work or let entertainers dance and register at medical facilities.

Entertainers can't buff in medical facilities so that makes zero sense. Doctors are commonly found in cantinas. Not a big deal not to be able to register there. When players come to visit my entertainer they see my doctor as well.

Because one can only register inside a structure. The doctors at the starports are rarely inside the actual structure, and entertainers can only give a full 5.30hr buff inside a npc cantina/hotel/theater or a player structure. Therefore, it makes more sence for docs to register in the cantinas too (where some of them are already stationed anyway) than all the way around.

I support this. I think that making more cantinas packed with NPCs will at least make them appear more "lively" and you won't be sitting in an empty container.

Taverns like you see in Anchorhead are a one-stop shop in Pre-CU, functioning as both medical centers and cantinas. But CU disabled their functionality. It's a bare, empty place on R3. On Finalizer, it has tables and chairs and NPCs in the club section, hospital beds and medical equipment and a Doctor trainer in the treatment annex.

I would love to see added dialog to them that is relevant to area they are in. There is a lot of extra stuff that can be done to get unique rewards and its hard to find a list appropriate to the specifics of each server. It would be neat to hang out in a bar for a half an hour and hear an organic conversation about the cool new ship an npc pilot earned by doing such and such, or the tamer necklace that let her train another ability on her narglatch.

It’s not just the Cantinas, most of the cities outside of Tatooine feel empty and lifeless. It would be great to see more NPCs added /in general/, everywhere. I haven’t experimented much with the Chronicles system, but I suspect this project and that system could have some real synergy
