Adjust server restart time

Proposal
Move Server restart time to a point where Devs are able to react to issues during restart.
Justification
It happened a couple times that the server had issues on restart. We know that there are systems in place to notify Devs on hard crashed but it seems not the case on issues during restart.
Motivation
People outside US time zones can't play during their online hours if the server is down for 6 or 8 hours if the restart fails.
Open for other solutions

Perhaps it should be moved to 14:30 instead of 08:30, this way there is a chance a Dev will be around to react to any fall over notifications. 14:30 GMT is still within a quite period of the games population, so would not impact much more than a 08:30 restart imo

I was wondering why the server was offline this morning. I thought it was another patch. The test center is up though.

I’m definitely open to this, but really the main reason why we haven’t done this already is that shifting it forward 4 or 5 hours would be in the middle of the day for EU. A restart is pretty disruptive, especially when it’s daily, and does mean a lot of group activities die.

If we get a lot of support from people in that time zone to go ahead with the change anyway, we can do this.

Euro based player here. While I wouldn't jump for this to be permanent, perhaps doing it for a trial period, and possibly on an alternating rota as well?

12:00 noon GMT I think would be a good time.

-As if there is an issue the downtime is greatly reduced for EU.
-It's middle of work day for EU so should be minimal group activity like heroics.
-It before blackout ends.
-It's right before the US pre work players arrive to check stuff.

Losing 8 -10 hours after a failed restart can feel bad and now the move to daily restarts make the chance of it happening more.

That would be 7am EST. I think they do the time for when the least amount of people are online so as to minimize disruption. Yes the server was down for awhile but that has been very rare and understandably people are anxious about it.

Before they went daily I can recall 4 instances in the last 12 months from weekly/quick patch so yes I agree but daily increases the risks.

Imo doing stuff like this or patches with no one around after is asking for trouble.

Maybe the way forward would be to track it and collect data over the next senate term to assess the disruption before making any changes.

Sorry if it seemed I was disagreeing with you. I wasn't.
