Proposal
Improve the guide or create a separate "taming high level beast requirements" guide to explain what a master needs to do to get the best possible pets for themselves.
Also secondly add a proper forum where we can talk about class specific things please, or just post general queries. Thanks,.
Justification
Guide is incomplete for CH.
It doesn't explain how to tame high level pets. There is no up to date guide on tameable levels for pets that correlate to previous levels, no details on things a master would need to obtain to fully max temp their craft, etc.
Motivation
I just want anyone new to CH coming to restoration or even experienced but unclear fully how this works to have a more comprehensive guide, and ideally allow us to post question on that guide as well if we are unsure on anything please.
HI all,

Firstly let me apologise if this is a total newbie mistake, I never did CH in live, so there could be something I am missing.

I am a master pikeman, master CH, CL 80. However when trying to tame any high level dangerous pets say a CL 60 Graul baby, I am told it would be to hard to tame?

I have been looking around at various shops, but not able to see any Bio Engineered clothing to help me tame pets, or food either, perhaps it is just I haven't found it, but I have looked for the last few days all over and have not been able to find anywhere that does if it does exist?

I have read the CH guide, and it doesn't mention anything about how to get things to max out your pet taming level with things outside of simply master the profession....

Would it be possible to get this updated as there are no forums to discuss this really where we can ask these kind of questions (perhaps another suggestion?)

I just want to know if it is possible to tame things like Grauls or Rancors, what I need to do as a master to do so. If it is not possible why are there babies for these critters?

Perhaps another thing which would be kind of neat as a last suggestion, is to somehow have something on creatures that as a CH you can see what CL/level of CH skills you would need in order to tame a certain animal, all the old pet level guides seem completely out of whack in this one as well....

Again this could just be me making some terrible newbie mistakes lol, but as someone totally new to CH and having tried things I know worked in the past in Pre CU or NGE etc, none of those things seem to work or exist in this, its just confusing and it would be great to get some more detail and clarity in the guide please.

Graul and rancor along with most of the mustafar creatures are supposed to be mutation only, the babies and the ability to tame frenzied graul i imagine are an oversight or bug. Anything that is supposed to be tame-able can be at master CH. However i agree the stats and how they apply to what is or is not tame-able before hitting master CH can be somewhat misleading/unintuitive.

Almond Keevu food. Barring that some creatures' difficulty level is too high without vicious creature taming SEAs, which aren't in game atm.

You can't tame rancors, mutation only pet. You can tame _frenzied_ graul(baby)s (ONLY)

The proper forum for CH advice is the creatures channel in R3 discord.

Wait so I can't tame a Rancor or Graul as a master CH????? And the only way to do so would be to buy one or make one as a BE??? Seriously?
Thats me dropping CH then, as honestly the whole point for me doing this class is i didn't do it in live, and loved the idea of the challenge to go out and find those rare critters in the wild, even knowing they would probably be less awesome than those made by a BE, it for me anyways was kind of the whole point.....I wanted to find that elusive Bull Rancor baby in the wild dangerous world of Dath...
Without that kind of challenge, and just resorting to spending money.....meh......take the exploration and risk of trying to tame the most dangerous of pets away, and well, you just kill the whole reason and excitement of the class for me.
Funnily enough my alt was going to be a BE anyways, but I didn't want this to be the only path to get rare pets......Meh....guess I am dropping CH when i log on tonight, no point. I'll just make them for others for whom this does not matter on my alt I guess.

You can tame frenzied grauls. None of the other types, as a CH, I don't think you need to be master, their levels are usually in the 60s. Graul babies are rare so that's a good hunt... Rancors are mutation only so BE made. There are lots of rare pets you can find. Slice hounds are one, grauls are another.

I've seen some pretty good tamed pets(over 50 points), but you need to tame a ton of pets to get a good one. It's RNG.

I'm getting slice hound dna as I write this. I saw a baby. I could have tamed All wild nests.

Not allowing master creature handlers to tame the more popular high end critters kinda kills the proffession. you can make the baby's more rare , harder to find but make it possible at least? If this isnt a reasonable fix can the mutation % chance in Bio-engineer to make the high end untamables more obtainable? I am having zero luck with bio-engineering to support the creature handling.

Creature handler and BE are different here to Live Pre-Cu and Live CU. They function more like the Combat and Creation sides of the NGE Beast Master expertice tree, respectively & seperately. If you can come to terms with this difference, you'll accept the reasoning behind why you can't just walk up and tame a Rancor. Lets not forget not every creature an original BE could make was tamable.

I think Rancor / Graul babies being in the game is just an oversight.

that right we need a lot of tameing vicious Creature to tame them that why i asked if it could be changed to +100 so your could tame any baby grual the lowest ones i found now are lvl 51 and thats still to high to tame as a master creature handler we should beable to tame any baby in precu i had 2 one mount and one to fight as a master i miss that

you can tame a graul currently in game. I found one in the wild, probably also was a 51ish level and tamed it. But thats the most exotic pet your gonna find tamable in game atm sadly.

Make ch great again! Allow rare creatures to be tameable.

I dislike this nge beast master dumb down of the profession.

Bring back ch Pokémon!

BE would still remain king due to stats, ch tamed should be for the fun of it.

CH is great already. I would disagree on allowing them to tame rare. I would be so bold as to back something Korto sad long ago. CH shouldn’t be able to tame almost anything. Everyone who wants tame anything also want to be able to tame 60 point pets. So then why have BE pet makers? Would destroy a whole class.
I think we can land in the middle somewhere. To say CH is broken or unplayable due to tame restrictions is sort of silly.

Your correct CH is great already, but it has lost its identity for the diversity of pets.

I am not convinced that leaving pets as they stand now but allowing ch to tame wild rare pets would destroy BE or even effect it.

Most of the draw for a lot of CH players back in pre cu / cu was due to the Pokémon collection element, as pets in both areas was trashy for anything else aside from raising group levels, but atst and nova troopers did a better job of that easier.

The only reason they bothered with CH back then was to for the collection / cool element.

I genuinely don’t believe opening up CH to allow them to tame rare creatures as trophy pets only as you can’t get (or at least to my knowledge get) a 60pt pet from a wild tame.

This will always give BE a strong advantage over CH taming.
