Change badge system to account based versus current character based
This idea/suggestion has been flagged as Not Implemented because of a lack of popularity, lack of interest, lack of feasibility, or other determination by the Development Team, so the suggestion will not be implemented. Once a suggestion has been flagged this way, the decision is final. Although the issue may be raised again in the future after a six month cooldown. A response explanation from the Development Team can be found in the thread.

Make badges recorded at the account level, therefore make all badge progress the same on all characters of the account
Justification
Simplify game play
Motivation
Having to switch from character to character to figure out badge progression
This proposal is for making badges account based versus the current character based. Since multiple accounts are allowed this just makes sense to allow the badges to apply at the account.

Unfortunately a change like this is both technically complex from an implementation standpoint and alters the framework of how achievements are credited and collection awards given. I’m also not sure it makes sense. Credit your other character and give them the reward for something you do on a different one? Why?

Lord Korto, an account has 2 characters currently (soon three)

Aconite, why force duplication of badges. Whatever toon completes it receives the reward. Allows you to see progress at an account level. This has been done with other games. Just bubble up the record keeping to the actual account, not character. It was just a thought.

What you'd be doing in a lot of cases is taking rewards that can be earned by each character and only allow one per account with this logic. I don't know why anyone would be in favor of that.

Indeed. If we were to entertain earning a badge for your entire account, we would not give the reward to every character.
