- Proposal
- Allow certain one-time collections to be repeatable, just like the various Stage Collections and the Beast Dye currently are.
- Justification
- Allows players who want these decor pieces to repeat the collections.
This encourages them to go out and either hunt the pieces on their own or purchase them from other players.
Will have no negative impact on the economy and will only increase player satisfaction, especially for decorators.
If the change is made to reward a schematic instead of a reward piece, then it will further encourage interaction with artisans of various trades.
- Motivation
- Some of these collections have great rewards that I would love multiples of, but I get frustrated with having to just get rid of the collection pieces after I collect my one lonely little piece of deco.
There are certain collections that offer useful decor items that are repeatable infinitely, such as the Stage Smoke Machine, Stage Pyrotechnic Machine, etc.
On the other hand, there are many other collections with similarly useful deco rewards that are limited to one time only.
Some of these make sense to limit as you really only need one of the item, or there should be a limit in place for other reasons.
A good example of that are things like Dooku's replica lightsaber or the Collections that increase housing storage.
However there are many that do not make sense to limit, such as the Wayfar Spy Collection that gives you a Camping Chair.
You get one chair and that's it. Who wants to sit in camp alone? I would love to decorate my abodes and POBs with these chairs, but I only get one to use. unless I can find someone to buy it from.
The same thing with many of the Hobby Collections - Faux Real, Prime Cuts and Humerus. Great decor rewards but you can only get one per character. I would love extra skeletons and bantha rugs!!
The main difference between the infinitely repeatable and the one time decor collections that I see is that instead of a placeable decor piece, the repeatable collections reward you with a schematic that requires interacting with an artisan of some fashion to get the finished reward.
Even the Dejarik Collections could benefit from being repeatable, as I am sure most of us would like to have one in our POBs as well as one in our homes/cantinas/etc.
It should be a relatively easy change to make these repeatable and would definitely benefit decorators and collectors alike.
