Change Some Existing Collections with Decoration Rewards So They Are Repeatable
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Allow certain one-time collections to be repeatable, just like the various Stage Collections and the Beast Dye currently are.
Justification
Allows players who want these decor pieces to repeat the collections.
This encourages them to go out and either hunt the pieces on their own or purchase them from other players.

Will have no negative impact on the economy and will only increase player satisfaction, especially for decorators.

If the change is made to reward a schematic instead of a reward piece, then it will further encourage interaction with artisans of various trades.
Motivation
Some of these collections have great rewards that I would love multiples of, but I get frustrated with having to just get rid of the collection pieces after I collect my one lonely little piece of deco.
There are certain collections that offer useful decor items that are repeatable infinitely, such as the Stage Smoke Machine, Stage Pyrotechnic Machine, etc.

On the other hand, there are many other collections with similarly useful deco rewards that are limited to one time only.
Some of these make sense to limit as you really only need one of the item, or there should be a limit in place for other reasons.
A good example of that are things like Dooku's replica lightsaber or the Collections that increase housing storage.

However there are many that do not make sense to limit, such as the Wayfar Spy Collection that gives you a Camping Chair.
You get one chair and that's it. Who wants to sit in camp alone? I would love to decorate my abodes and POBs with these chairs, but I only get one to use. unless I can find someone to buy it from.

The same thing with many of the Hobby Collections - Faux Real, Prime Cuts and Humerus. Great decor rewards but you can only get one per character. I would love extra skeletons and bantha rugs!!

The main difference between the infinitely repeatable and the one time decor collections that I see is that instead of a placeable decor piece, the repeatable collections reward you with a schematic that requires interacting with an artisan of some fashion to get the finished reward.

Even the Dejarik Collections could benefit from being repeatable, as I am sure most of us would like to have one in our POBs as well as one in our homes/cantinas/etc.

It should be a relatively easy change to make these repeatable and would definitely benefit decorators and collectors alike.

There are many sources to get deco items, and the Fortitude vendor is not the main one. It has other purpose anyway.

I agree that some collections should be reviewed. For example, the easy Wayfar Spies one that gives camp chairs makes sense to be repeatable, but I can't agree we should receive multiple skeletons and bantha rugs. Also, there are some long collections that include fighting golden mobs and they reward one-use schematic, which is sad - for example the purple and the potted plant collections would make more sense to give a schematic with 2 or 3 uses let's say.

The list is very long and needs carefull reviewing. I'd be glad to work on the list, with the help of the community, if the devs agree to make any changes in the collection rewards.(y)

Thanks, Aconite!
@Chervil please send me your list on discord, and anyone else too. I'll put everything together.
I really think the space collections should be repeatable. It would allow people to get better crafted gear out of hard work, give more work to shipwrights and with recent changes with overhauls, make some really nice equipment for players and heavy spacers alike.

I know that this is not the first time this subject has been brought up, I just thought it should be involved in this discussion...

Why shouldn't we be able to get multiple skeletons/bantha rugs? There's nothing inherently unique about them, no more than a collection giving a chair (Wayfar Spies).

Because Faux Real and Humerous Collectibles take part in another collection that grants a pet ability, not to mention the bantha rug textures look really bad and I don't understand why people would want more of them :D

ill grant the terrible textures but as far as them being used for a pet ability collection doesnt seem like an actual issue since that collection wouldnt reset as its not furniture and you can literally just buy/sell the pieces anyway

You can buy/sell the rugs too. I don't see a good reason for this change, only because someone wants more of them. Some collection furniture needs to remain less common than ordinary crafted one.

Resetting the Tier 1 collections and leaving the non-repeatable tier 2 collection is code that already exists. I don't see an issue with that.

I like the ide of making things drop schematics that can be turned into manufacturing schems with more repeats on them.

One of the things I'd like to have more of is glass shelves. Potted plants too, but they are part of a tier 1 collection, so the manufacturing schem seems like a better resolution to more plants and not breaking the collection. Maybe the Panoramic view?

Would be interested in the status of this.

I just finished the purple plant collection, and was bitterly disappointed its a single use schematic, non-repeatable (not that I'd want to repeat this quest).

I spent roughly 8 hours, hot boxing two of my characters, dying multiple times, for a one time use schematic of.. purple flowers. That doesn't feel balanced, nor is it one that I want to repeat because of how much time and effort was involved to get it.

Someone suggested above that 2-3 for a schematic? I'd rather have 5 per schematic, and would be worth the pain of doing this on all three of my alts, once. For how much high level combat and travel was involved in this particular quest, it's not something that I'd be repeating for a crafting alt.

I have prepared a list combining players' suggestions and my own, and presented it to the dev team.

The space part collections diffidently need to be repeatable. It is such a pain having to swap in a booster or capacitor to each ship you fly because that's what fits or works best. It would also give shipwright more revenue as right now they only make parts for people grinding up pilot. and one time chassis.
