- Proposal
- We suggest adjusting the chassis mods for the crafted X-Wing, TIE Interceptor, Kihraxz and KSE Firespray to make them more interesting and viable within the current meta.
- Justification
- The X wing, Tie Interceptor and Kihraxz are in a poor spot since the launch of ROTW since SOE added variants with much higher mass making them obsolete. KSE Firespray has always been a poor spot meta wise since the release of the ship by SOE due to it's unimpressive stats and large hitbox.
- Motivation
- To make the under utilized chassis in JTL more viable and interesting.
Classic X-Wing
The classic X-Wing is completely outclassed by the Rage of the Wookiees variant, sharing identical specs but with roughly 80,000 less mass. This proposed update, inspired by adjustments seen on Legends server, would bring it closer to parity with other PvP ships in its mass class. Reducing it to two guns while increasing base maneuverability and sweet spot gives it a more iconic feel for PvP. The Advanced variant (and it's Imperial counterpart) would remain the best PvP/PvE all arounders on the server, while adding an interesting option for medium fighters for the Rebellion.

Throttle sweet spot change suggestion for the crafted X wing

Tie Interceptor
The TIE Interceptor currently struggles to remain competitive at only 51k mass, especially compared to its more powerful counterpart, the Royal Guard Interceptor (RGI). Directly mirroring the RGI is complicated by the fact that the RGI comes from a perfect deed, not as a crafted chassis. This proposal suggests increasing the Interceptor’s speed modifier beyond 1.0, enabling it to run an e6 to match an e8 or configure it as a lightly armored, high-speed w8 platform. It would remain fragile, but offer a distinct and compelling role in the Imperial TIE lineup.Current
TIE Interceptor | Interceptor | 10 | ~51k | 50k | 100% | 40/60 | 300/300/150 | 5/80/80 | 1.6 | 1 + 1m | FC |

Kihraxz
Lastly, the Kirhaxz remains the forgotten fighter of SWG. With a meager 40k mass, it sees virtually no serious use. These proposed chassis modifications aim to make it a viable "challenge ship" for experienced pilots willing to experiment. An E6 engine paired with lighter-than-usual guns could open the door to creative and unconventional loadouts.Current
Kihraxz | Light Fighter | 2 | ~41k | 25k | 100% | 35 | 400/400/200 | 20/50/75 | 1.6 | 1 + 1m | FC |

And while it's not a ship effected by ROTW due to common consensus about it's poor state i'd like to touch up on the KSE Firespray as well;
KSE Firespray
The Firespray has long been an iconic but underwhelming ship. These proposed changes aim to address its most common complaints while offering greater flexibility in loadout and configuration.
Separating each hardpoint into its own weapon would allow pilots who choose to install only two w0s in the chest guns to benefit from improved targeting. While the Firespray has less mass than a B-Wing, a creative pilot could still outfit it with four w7s for devastating effect.
Changing the hitbox from a sphere to a box would provide better evasive angles from the top and sides, while preserving the ship’s unavoidable weakness—its large frontal profile. Modifying the chassis stats would also allow it to execute sharper turns or joust and disengage effectively, setting up opportunities to unleash its dual missile launchers.
Current
KSE Firespray | Heavy Fighter | 18 | ~214k | 100k | 90% | 35/35 | 100/100/50 | 20/40/40 | 1.6 | 2 + 2m | FC |
Proposed
KSE Firespray | Heavy Fighter | 18 | ~214k | 100k | 94% | 40/45 | 200/200/100 | 20/50/60 | 1.6 | 4 + 2m | FC |
As something to note, all of these changes are reversable at zero cost to the player, unlike adjustments to mass. If down the line we find that these adjustments are not performing adequately, or are over tuned, we can revisit them easily.
