Clothing Recycle machine for Master Tailors

Proposal
The machine Idea from the dye post did give me a another idea for tailors now that the Droid Eng has a oil bath station only they can use.
Give a machine to Master tailors that recycles junk cloths and Armor into basic Mats based on what the highest stat mod of the item is, +1 for example give's you 10 recycled hide and 10 recycled poly with 200 stats across the board, use +10 get 100 count of Each and so forth.
Justification
This would cut down on otherwise deleted junk clothing/armor that is so low that no one wants to mess with Reverse Engineering (RE) and cut down on tailors cost for very low profit items inside the game.
Motivation
Gives tailors a useful basic mat to use on factory crate items, or in the clothing itself, Could be sold to other crafters if OQ is not a factor (Other Artisans)
Gives tailors a useful machine that is only useable by the class. Stitches

I like this train of thought so I will upvote; I've thought about proposing something similar for architects and people's old harvesters that are no-trade shared but they don't use anymore. For architects I was going to suggest that people could trade their old harvies in and archs could do something with them instead of letting them just pile up in storage (or be deleted) once the older ones are no longer needed. Tailors need something like this even more than archs, so good suggestion.
 
So you are talking recycling looted armor and clothing, but not crafted 🤔
I'm not sure we really need another way to get resources.
 
I am not sure how valuable this would be to a tailor. Wouldn't the tailer be better off selling the junk clothing/armor to the junk vendor for credits and just buying whatever junk hide they need when they need it? Tailors probably don't need the mass quantities of recycled hide this would generate.
 
Ah, I misread. By "junk" I read it as recycling any old cloth into more mats, including old clothes, thus my aside on archs. My bad on reading it the way I wanted. I need to up my reading comprehension.
 
I agree with some others. I am unsure the value this would have for tailors.

I literally find any decent % spawn and park an elite or two there for a couple days. This alone gives me more resources than I'll need for a while. Especially considering how the stats do nothing for tailors.

Now, if the recycling gave scraps that could be re-processed for recolor kits...that would be something.
