Enhanced Home and POB Ship Decorating Capabilities

Enhanced Home and POB Ship Decorating Capabilities

Proposal
I propose that you can use the keyboard and/or mouse to move and rotate items around in the area you are decorating. For instance, you walk into your home and drop the item you want to move. Right click and choose MOVE -> UP/DOWN (Z axis) or FORWARD/BACK/LEFT/RIGHT (X & Y axis). Once in this mode, you use the arrow keys on the keyboard to move the item into the desired place. Shift and CTRL could increase or decrease the increments of movements. Then hit ENTER to exit the MOVE mode. To rotate, you could choose ROTATE from the radial menu and be able to use either the mouse and/or arrow keys to rotate the object into the correct rotation. Once you are happy with that, hit ENTER to exit the rotation mode.
Justification
I think the community as a whole would benefit from this and we would see more people take the time to decoration their living areas. The only possible negative impact I could see would be the Developers figuring out the code to implement this. Like I said at the beginning of this, I have no idea what would be involved with that part.
Motivation
Decorating one's home, guild hall, city buildings or POB ships is a big part of the fun of SWG, and it allows more individuality and creativity from the players. This method would allow for finer control of the decorating process.
Using the move or rotate furniture commands can be a bit cumbersome at times, trying to get things in the right place and turned just right. I would propose a new way of decorating your homes, buildings and POB ships. When I played LOTRO, they had hooks in the houses for certain items. This did not give us the freedom to decorate like we currently can in SWG. I feel there can be an easier way to decorate than the current system in place. The coding to implement it on the other hand, I have no idea what would be involved.

Gave this a thumbs up but I would like to mention that, if nothing else than for the time being, you can get something similar using macros.
I don't know how to share macros that isn't just copying and pasting a bunch of individual macros so I'll just describe how I have it set up.

1, 2, 3, 4 are 45° Yaw Counterclockwise, Forward 10, 45° Yaw Clockwise, Up 10 Shift+1, 2, 3, 4 are Left 10, Back 10, Right 10, Down 10
In this configuration I have it mimicking the top and bottom halves of the movement keys with QWE in 123 and ASD in Shift+123 (as well as up and down on 4).

Of course it's locked to whatever value you put in, but it still speeds up the whole process significantly. For finer adjustments either another set of macros (which is cumbersome) or type as needed.

Additional macros for copy location, copy height, and copy rotation also prove indispensable.
And for alignment, don't forget to sit in a chair.

This turned into "decorating advice" but hopefully that's acceptable as it serves as a stopgap solution in the absence of the suggestion.

Sorry to necro a year old thread, but having just purchased my first house and beginning to decorate, I agree this area of the games needs a little QoL love.
My thoughts were more along the lines of adding another level of context to the radial menu, like for example: you drop the object right click and select move up, it opens another menu where you can select the number of units to move it up, like 1,5,10,15,20, etc. Maybe for the forward/back movement there could be another option like 'put against wall'.
