Proposal
Increase the amount of meat yield per fish, or allow for multiple fish to be caught at once.
Justification
It would allow for more production of high tier pet stims, and possibly get more people to fish due to it being a more viable way to gather a meaningful amount.
Motivation
Fishing yields only a small fraction of what other harvesting activities provide.
I recently tried fishing to try to make pet stimpacks....and this is coming from someone that does a lot of farming.

The fishing meat yield is very, very low.

I guess an alternate solution would be to change the pet stim schematic to not require them, but I do not feel like that adds anything to the game. I would rather see the fishing mechanics used, but a viable means to gather resources.

Right now, it is like 2% or less meat per minute compared to harvesting kills.

Yes We went round and round with Live Devs over fishing from having harvesters to changing the whole way it was done. But in the end they knew Ranger and Scout was going away for the NGE so nothing was ever done.

We definitely need another solution to be able to make pet D stims in a high enough quantity to serve the needs of CHs across Resto. The current meat yield per fish is far too low, and the fishing functionality too unpredictable to actually catch a fish. I cannot spend all my time fishing just to make one item as a full-service chef.

Make fishing stims. That require less quantity of fish. And/or specifics fish. So fishing will be viable.
It’s always fun a fishing tournament once a week with a special prize. Fishing gear. Maybe u can stuff ur biggest fish for the house wall. A fishing only mount.
I usually love fishing in every game. Put some love in it.
