Proposal
My proposition would be for each respective neutral squadron to have access to Imperial ship certs for RSF and Rebel ship certs for Smuggler Alliance. Then on each respective hardest squadron for Imperial and Rebel, for them to have access to neutral ship certs.
Justification
More freedom in ship choices while retaining Imperial ships to Imperials and Rebel ships to Rebels. Some tangible use for choosing which squadron and reward.
Motivation
One part role-play of different ships to choose from and more interesting meta-gaming for PVP or other space goals. Allows Imperials/Rebels to have access to Vaksai while staying true Rebel or true Imperial for instance
This suggestion stems from an interest in having chosen squadrons be a bit more dynamic in ship choice/variety. To explain, currently there are 3 sub squadrons with each of the main three piloting options:

NEUTRAL
Smuggler Alliance (Rebel Aligned)
RSF Squadron (Imperial Aligned)
Corsec Squadron (True Neutral)

REBEL
Arkon's Havoc Squadron (Easy)
Crimson Phoenix Squadron (Medium)
Vortex Squadron (Hard)


IMPERIAL
Imperial Inquisition (Easy)
Black Epsilon Squadron (Medium)
Storm Squadron (Hard)

My proposition would be for each respective neutral squadron to have access to Imperial ship certs for RSF and Rebel ship certs for Smuggler Alliance. Then on each respective hardest squadron for Imperial and Rebel, for them to have access to neutral ship certs.

Keep the requirements for all gunship collections per specific faction but allow the cert uses under the flexible faction choices.

Good idea overall. RSF missions are all pro-Imperial so it makes sense. I feel x-wings should be available in neutral as well. You clearly see multiple factions using them.
 
To add on, if Ace of Aces allowed all ship certs under one toon, that'd be pretty dope also - basically my request is just coming from a place of allowing more dynamic ship options for RP / ship fitting personality.

You can already tag up for either Rebel or Imperial anyway so I'd be interested in any fall back or constructive criticism on this one.

ACE of ACES should allow access to more certs, that's actually a great idea.

Yeah. But I also don't see any reason that any Alliance pilot couldn't choose to fly any non-Imperial ship, either, in terms of lore/world-building logic.

Smuggler Alliance (Rebel Aligned) <--- This should be Nuetral Jabba is a crime lord and only out for money
RSF Squadron (Imperial Aligned)
Corsec Squadron (True Neutral)<--- This should be Rebel. The Senator from corellia was one of the founders behind the rebelion.
