- Proposal
1) Faster food and drink clear while sitting
Or/and
2) Adding food or drink that allows for clearing food and drink fill
- Justification
Easier uses of crafting multiple hand crafted items
- Motivation
Quality of life for people having to spend a large amount of waiting on fill
If you're testing things individually one at a time like PSGs, waiting for Food and Drink degrade can take a significant amount of time. I have two items I'd like to request to fix this:
1) Faster food and drink clear while sitting
Or/and
2) Adding food or drink that allows for clearing food and drink fill
Frankly, I would be interested in any item or adjustment that would allow for more reasonable food and drink clear for crafting scenarios and doesn't exploit PVP activity

If it's just for crafting I would say just adjust the fill calculation for the crafting foods so they have lower fill.
This idea has been presented in many forms over the past year or so. It is usually shot down fairly quickly. A food/drink to remove fill would not accomplish much - and it doesn't necessarily make sense because in theory that food/drink would have fill as well.
I get the issue as crafter where you're waiting in your house for 20-30 minutes for your fill to go down so you can do another attempt. It is a complete pain. I've suggested in the past a terminal or something that would cost credits to remove fill, and at the same time remove all other buffs to make sure it would deter people from using it to get the upper hand in PvP. You'd basically start fresh - and it would be primarily for crafters. Unless I'm missing something else - you could technically just make it where you pay to remove your Drink fill - and that would prevent this method from allowing people to pop things like synth and wafers again to once again remove any real benefit to using this outside of crafting.
At the end of the day - It's time or money. If they eventually buy off on something to save us time - then I think it needs to cost us. The thing is - this is primarily to use Bespin - and Bespin just increases chances at a better crafting success - doesn't guarantee it - so to involve a credit sink would be a win-win in my opinion for the devs as the alternative in most cases is people just standing around for their fill to go down..which doesn't benefit anyone at all. Why not save people time and remove some credits from the game?

Other servers made it a bit faster while sitting - even for PVP I find it hard to understand how that could be exploited when there is very little time to sit in pvp lmao
I'll keep plugging along crafting but it is indeed a pain point that would be nice if it were addressed

The idea of a terminal makes sense for keeping the PvP aspect out of the way. Maybe something that is Bio-Linked and only usable by a crafting profession master and/or having a MAX level requirement of 54. Certainly something that takes some sort of consumable for a credit sink, bonus points for needing components from Bio-Engineer/Droid Engineer to add some more utility to those professions.
Stomach pump droid module lmao
Stomach pump droid module lmao
Not so crazy when you think of the medical devices that exist IRL for stomach pumping
. I was thinking more like something the droid engineer makes as a consumable for an injection maybe? Thinking like nano-bot type things that a bio-engineer uses in a craft for a metabolism boost consumable. Just rambling ideas lol.
My idea was spice that gave a nasty debuff but dropped fill

Ah, I do like that idea as well - another useful hook for smuggler spice to be usable in the economy and a deterrent for utilization in PVP while retaining a roleplay aspect to it.
please see, literally every previous post about fill, where I've said repeatedly we will not implement a means to remove your filling
Your fill degrades faster when you log out and play another game.

fill lowering while logged out got removed a while back

Please can we do this a different way; make Bespin Port take 4 fill per drink.

Similar suggestions have been shot down. This would basically undermine crafting in general to just make a resource quality dependent item a flat rate for the sake of ease. There's probably quite a bit already produced that would essentially become useless.
