This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Possible solution: that Dearic becomes a "limited GCW zone". "GCW limited zone" I mean that in the PvP zone only armor, weapons, jewelry and clothing are used WITHOUT IMPROVEMENTS. that only 2 entertainment buffs can be used, and 1 food and 1 drink buff. The system will only allow players to participate in the GCW battle who have the aforementioned. The rewards would be lower than the other cities, it could be 50% or 40%.
Justification
What will be achieved with this? A= equality of opportunity not only for me, but for many players who are limited in participating in GCW battles, the lowest level players are included and they will see a greater possibility of being able to play these battles. And I think we would have more participation from the new players who many times (as happened to me) we see ourselves very far from the top players and we do not participate.
Motivation
GCW battles are one of the moments where we interact more between players, I think that with the "limited GCW zone" spaces can be created where more players interact and that it is fun for everyone, whether we win or lose is the least of it, THERE IS HAVE FUN. Without a chance to win, it's not fun.

problem: we are in an invasion in Bestin 5 level 80 imperials, with 2 level 80 pets (my pet with 3 skills, level 5) and 2 battle droids, I full of entertainment upgrades food and drinks, my R.I.S. armor. completely improved with +35 ranged defense +35 ranged general + 35 Toughness boost in each of the pieces of my armor, my chest has a +17 rifle improvement in 3 categories, a shirt with a +17 rifle improvement in 3 categories. ONE SINGLE REBEL arrives and in one minute defeats all of us imperials. There are top players, who are really impossible to defeat. For me and for many it is neither fun nor profitable. We know that when one or two of those top players arrive we don't have a 1% chance of defeating them, and in a GCW battle when your chance of winning is 0% or close to 0% it's just not fun. I think top players should play against other top players. I have been playing "RESTO" for more than a year and a half, and many friends have stopped playing GCW because of this, maybe I am very stubborn and persistent that's why I try to continue earning my GCW coins, but many people step aside from GCW By this situation.

All I can gather from this is that you are requesting an area where people are limited on gear and buffs, and unfortunately, I'm willing to bet those same individuals that you are trying to separate yourself from are still going to be showing up and putting on a show on your terms, and we'll be back to square one.

I totally get the frustration - and can understand at a high level what you're proposing - but if people aren't putting themselves out there and fighting the top people, they're not going to get any better.

I'm not saying that GCW as a whole is in the healthiest of places - but I don't think the blame is that of those shining stars. All I can say is the more you fight - the better you'll get, and as far as GCW goes on this server, it will evolve, so don't give up on it.

My idea is that SWG restoration continues to be a fun place to play. Maybe my proposal is more emotional than realistic in technical game issues. but it is with the best of intentions. Throughout my life I have always cared about new players, in 1994 I started playing Magic the Gathering and in 1996 I worked in organized play at national level events in Mexico. and always look for support for new players.
This "limited GCW zone" idea will most likely not happen, but I appreciate being allowed to express my point of view. Let's support new players. See you in the galaxy.

First time reading this properly, to me it doesn't sound like its a gear issue, more of a skill / template issue.

In alot of games I have always found the element of surprise is a HUGE factor in pvp, then build into that the fact that you have to have a good template. I have played in battlefields where 1 target is focused by 4-5 players and still survive depending on template, so what you describe isn't that far away from what I have first hand seen.

If around half your group are ch / ranged builds your acc will be SHITE, even if your using acc foods it is still very low, if the target was running honed cob (I am assuming this is the case) or even greater cob you will miss alot and in turn it will seem like he is in god mode.

Reality is your acc sucked and you just missed alot, I recommend if you want to get into pvp, just join some battlefields or reach out to Remis (I know he has a training program atm) learn the basics on how to survive and what templates work well, what foods and consumables to take and when to take them.

But please note this is still SWG, SWG has always been about preparation; if you are not fully prepared (as in have all the right foods, buffs, stims consumables) for pvp you will get slapped its really that simple.

Also, your stats are slightly off BiS right now is Ranged General, Opp Chance & Defence General (for ranged)
