- The expansion of the Citizen and Visitor city messages would allow more information to be conveyed to those who live in/visit a player city.
- Motivation
- The character limit on the Citizen and Visitor City Messages for Player Cities is too low. There have been many times I have had to rewrite my message because it couldn't fit in the character count.
Currently, the character limit on the Citizen and Visitor City Messages for Player Cities is too low. It's frustrating to have to rewrite these messages because they don't fit in the character count. I am always disappointed that I couldn't get across all that I wanted.
Many of the cities around have "sister" cities where you can do spin groups between them. Trying to explain the best way to do this in the current limit is nearly impossible, and you can't tell me they wouldn't benefit from more room.
If we can reevaluate the character limit on these city messages and increase their size, this would solve the problem. Doubling the limit might be enough. We are not talking making it 500 characters, because we are getting into wall-of-text territory then. (Since the original game launch, Twitter even expanded their character limit up from 140.)

As an example, cities set up for spin groups could better explain the options available, like which direction and type of missions to take, etc. Some have been able to do this now, but it's not been exactly clear. This would help expand locations for spin groups to different planets and include such combinations as Mos Pelgo/Pelgo Slums or Mos Bos/ToX City. This would make things easier for the players and help drive people to these cities.
Cities could give just simple instructions on the best direction for missions out of their city. For example, missions out of Black Sands, Tatooine, work best to the E or SE. I can't fit that info in the current visitor message.
If there is an event coming up in your city, you could advertise it via the messages. Or if it's currently going on, you could better direct people to its location.
Note: This increase in character count could go for the comments in your friends list, too. That's way too short as well.
