Make Doc buffs last longer
This idea/suggestion has been flagged as Not Implemented because of a lack of popularity, lack of interest, lack of feasibility, or other determination by the Development Team, so the suggestion will not be implemented. Once a suggestion has been flagged this way, the decision is final. Although the issue may be raised again in the future after a six month cooldown. A response explanation from the Development Team can be found in the thread.

Proposal
I propose we make doc buffs last for 2 hrs and make it were the extended buffs you can buy from the droids last like entertainer buffs for 3, 4, 5 hrs depending on what u pay for. like this :

Regular buffs- 2 hrs
Extended buff 5,000cr-3hrs
Extended buff 10,000cr-4hrs
Extended buff 15,000cr-5hrs
Justification
Since doctors cannot defend them self's unless pared with a combat profession you don't see many out in the field making it very hard to keep buffed up, leaving players to ether finish their quests with out buffs or make the long trek back to the city to rebuff up.
Motivation
Right now buffs last 40 min. with the exception of the health buff that lasts 45 min. which doesn't leave enough time to get in group and get everyone all together and get out to mission location, by then you have 15 min left on your buffs .
I think this change would be better

Doc buffs are short duration on purpose, to encourage people to take a Doc along to rebuff.
Doc buffbots were not supposed to be a thing any longer. But players from pre-CU didn't get the message.
The Thyferran Buff droids are kind of the compromise already to longer duration Doc buffs. I can't see the Resto devs approving this one.

I do see what you are saying and agree with some of it .....so maybe decreasing the extended buff cost that would be helpful for new players that don't really know anyone yet and the only docs they can find are the" Docbuffbots" (mind you are the only docs that are findable) I have a doc and i walk around and buff everyone I can with out anyone asking me too, but most docs don't do this a lot of times "docbuffbots" are the only available place to get buffs. That's a fact. at least make an extended buff affordable for everyone.
fyi ~The doctor profession was not meant to be in the field, that's why there unable to fight alone as a doctor, in the field was always meant to be the combat medic... Doctors even can register a location to come see them at :) this is because there not supposed to be the in the field.... the main healer roll in the field is combat medic's not Doctors :)

I'd have to find the quote from long ago, but one of the stated goals of SOE for the CU was to "get Doctors out of the Med Centers and into the field". So it's a pre-CU vision for Doc versus a CU vision.
I would say that the Resto devs do not have that same goal as SOE did, or , at least, not to the same extent.
 
The solution to this would be to put "Healthcare" bots in all the med centers that provide a basic (not as good as Doc) buff for x credits, lasting 1 hr max. Then, take away afk macro ability from Docs while adding to them a modest boost to their buff effectiveness and duration.
 
Thanks for the suggestion! We previously announced that the droid module duration increase is lower because Heroic Jewelry for Doctors, when available, will further increase the duration of doctor buffs. I’m going to close this as we don’t have any intention of making further changes to doctor buff duration.
