More Detailed Ability Descriptions
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Ability descriptions currently show their command and cooldown only. I propose adding the following:
  • Damage Modifier
  • Action/Mind/Force Cost
  • Ability Type (Single Target, Cone, AoE, Buff)
  • Range (For Cone abilities, the width of the cone in degrees as well)
  • Accuracy Bonus/Penalty (If Applicable)
Justification
QOL change, this information can be already obtained through manual testing but this would save players the time.
Motivation
Ability damage modifiers change fairly frequently, so this would make it easier for players to know exactly what their abilities are doing without having to retest whenever there is a balance patch.
Other things like action/mind/force cost and accuracy bonuses are difficult to test, so adding them into the description would help with clarity.
Feel free to add in any other properties I might have missed.
 
I'm not sure what you are asking the devs to do?
Are you asking them to explain changes they make in the patches better? So we can try to keep up?
Are you asking a dev to write a program that goes through the combat code and extrapolates for us all this information you want to see? So we don't have to depend on devs documentation as they code it?

There is some data that is availale in-game such as the Cooldown. The information that would be useful, as part of this PV, would fit nicely in there.

Ideally this would come from the same section in -game (on the ability) and not a Wiki page as there should only really be a single source of truth for these kinds of things and having to maintain a Wiki isn't ideal unless that is the only option.

They wouldn't have to extrapolate anything because they already all the numbers for what every ability in the game does, and I am asking them to display the most useful bits inside the ability descriptions. We know that they are both willing and able to do this because originally the descriptions did not include the ability command or its cooldown.
