Mysterious Data Disks aka Treasure Hunting
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
Rather than the same old loot for the level of disk, let there be a random roll or two for rare, unique or expensive items. I can get endurance stims, color crystals and that worthless bounty hunter outfit stuff off of any random kill. I want the chance to get something really cool and thus keep me and others treasure hunting.
Justification
Seems the devs have made them harder to obtain now, with a Cursed usually having 3 level 85 Jedi guardians and the Mysterious having at least one or two Whites with possibly a Yellow on Mysterious Data Disks. Problem is, you made them tougher to get but didn't change the loot system. In the past, one could easily solo a Mysterious and I agree it was way too easy, but the reward should be equal to the risk.
Motivation
Make it fun and exciting again.
I love treasure hunting, one of my favorite aspects of the game, however I've seen a change lately that discourages me from continuing. Though I only get Cursed and Mysterious Data Disks now (with the RARE Jedi Artifacts one) I find the loot to be the same old same old.

And the elite jedi's that appear, don't seem to get affected by slow down abilities from carbineer or stopped by pistoleer abilities such as stopping or disarming shot even if they land or it ends immediately. it feels quite unfair that half my abilities don't do anything and it boils down to who hits harder quicker.

The only thing I see different is the way armor break is used on these elites and is way overpowered hitting with a 1st gen saber for over 4k damage, and bypasses mitigation of any sort. (take that skill away from them and should balance out). they are hitting a'lot harder then even the normal Jedi masters from random spawns.

Yeah I noticed that compared to the Gold Elites jedi masters level 85 on dantoonie was more survivable than the silver elites in the treasure hunts. When I see a silver elite I expect to generally have the advantage over them being decently buffed, armoured, and armed. They're also stupid difficult to hit my reticle is orange and I've maxed out my accuracy as much as I can to try and hit them.

And yeah that armour break my goodness. I'd survive one hit and then the next is 2.5k damage.
Again my carbineer abilities to slow them down don't work even if it applies on their status screen. The pistoleer stopping power and disarm shot don't work at all even if successful. If those abilities I got worked as expected on those enemies too it'd be a doable fight. But as I've noticed with high level enemies, they just ignore status effects(or maybe something broke, not enough information to have an answer) or the effects don't last long enough for them to be useful like disarm shot.

Yep agreed. Three Silver chevrons with 75% Jedi armor break are impossible to take on solo or even with a friend. If the loot is as crap as it is now it is not worth the effort. Upvoted!
 
Ditto. The CL 81 Silver elites are impossible. They get one crit hit on you and you are incapped even with a full health bar. When I get one of those spawns, I just move onto the next and hope for the CL 85.

I did some tests on Test server to see if they get effected by Jedi powers, short answer is (No) force suppression or any slows has no effect on them at all. only damage type powers worked. So don't feel like your doing something wrong they are broken. My Jedi Armor is innate 6700. Just as a test ref. did not try master defender vs them to see what they are hitting me for damage but will try that next.

thanks, I did the april fools event against the 1 million hp ATAT with a big group and saw that one of the jedi players had an ability that makes them immune to any status effect which is crazy strong, but it wasn't permanent and only last for so long.
