- Proposal
- I propose that either allow Rocket Pistols to be crafted as low as CL15 or Have the Novice Commando Trainer to Hand out a Starter Rocket Pistol when one trains into Novice and then another at CL18 so as to have one every 3 levels (Prefer the Crafting so you can get better stats, but either really needs to be implemented).
- Justification
- As it currently Stands, Novice Commando is the only Advanced Combat Profession that one can enter and then not be able to earn actual weapons exp in. This problem lasts for 6 Combat Levels, which means that the ONLY way to level up your CL to the point where you can actually start to train your HW Skills is to either level up another Advanced Combat Profession, or spend lots of Credits (Something newcomers might not have) on buying Grenades and do absolutely nothing but Chug them for Combat Exp (the slowest one to earn) just to reach a CL where they can actually use their Class Weapons and Skills (which still take some of the exp for Grenade exp, which is not used by any skill in the game.. but that is something for another day).
- Motivation
- To bring Commando in line with the other Combat Professions and allow Novice Commandos that enter the Profession at CL15 to actually be able to earn Heavy Weapon EXP and therefore continue to level Commando skills without having to train into another Advanced Profession First ,or spend a lot of credits and a very, very long time doing absolutely nothing but tossing Grenades for Combat EXP (which is not only not practical, it is again not something that any other Combat Profession has to endure).
It is a well known fact that you can enter Novice Commando at CL15 and it is also known that a Novice Commando has ZERO way to earn Heavy Weapon EXP until CL21 at the earliest (if a crafter somewhere has been kind enough to make a CL21 Rocket Pistol). As far as I know, there are no other combat professions where you can not use a weapon of your profession to advance in said Profession... I.E Carbineer and Carbines, Rifleman and Rifles, TKA and Hand to Hand Weapons, etc, etc. This forces a Novice Commando to take CLs in another Advanced Profession, which means working through the basic trees to get there... which once again is not something any other Combat Profession HAS to do.
