Nym's Star Map Pay Han with your own credits

Nym's Star Map Pay Han with your own credits

Proposal
during the last stage of Nyms star-map quest, Paying the scoundrel, i suggest we have the option to either pay Han with our own credits or continue with the origionsl quest line. this way we would be able to negate the last part of returning to pay him if wanted.
Justification
instead of a time sink it would be a credit sink....win win for everyone. we get to save time and the devs gets to remove credits from the system.
Motivation
this is a huge time sink plain and simple. since it is a repeatable quest it take up time each day.
so much time wasted runing back and forth from Han to Nym i could have mastered 3 more professions.

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
as long as the original is in for those who don't want to be in a net loss each day then adding this option for those who want to get back to other tasks sounds good.

This was done on LEGENDS, option to pay the 50k out of pocket. It is quite annoying and seems like a larger time sink than it really is because of the immediate repetition. It takes longer to drive out to the Spiderclan cave than it does to run back forth from Narmle-ME-Narmle-ME-Narmle. Sometimes it takes longer to kill the trando slavers with RNG than it does for the round trip to get a 10 gun with a roll chance EVERY stat. Is it really worth the time devs would have to dedicate to it? Especially on a server where crafted 8 guns are more than sufficient for PVE and most PVP builds are relying on a reward 8 shield or Pnet for defense? If you're lucky enough to find pvp

you would still get the T10 gun u just would not have to make the second trip. pay Han on the 1st trip and give nym the map get the w0. thats all.

Load times can be killer. I disagree about it being the fastest portion.

I am sorry, but ....... NO .... This is a daily quest and to pay every day will add up to be a huge chunk of money. Yes, you still get a Level 10 gun .... but rarely do you get one with a very good or exceptional stat.

Am I happy about having to run back and forth between Narmle and Mos Eisley ... no. But that is the quest.

I just hope people don't think "if I pay 50K, I will get a better gun." If that was the case .... just put it on a vendor.

I am with Aov with this one.

You wouldn't HAVE to pay. You could do either. I don't think anyone would think that paying would give better rewards. And even if they did, they'd do it once and then stop.

Yeah, no one is being forced to do anything in this PV.

I would just rather spend that time flying than walking through a starport. Walking through starports isn't content

I was thinking about this the other day,

People are not going to use their own credits, at least most people. If they did, it would only take a few missions to make the money back, and perhaps take them away from something else they would rather be doing.

Now if the desire is to shorten the "traveling" back and forth in Phase 4 of the Star Map quest. Then have Nym give you a radio or video device as part of the quest and use that instead of traveling back and forth. Especially since Nym knows Han is a smuggler and will want to haggle.

Perhaps put in a requirement that you need to be outside the Lucky Despot to use it. At the end of the quest, the device is removed from your inventory.

I mean, this would be super cool.

Perhaps, something to address some of the time to travel from the Spider Clan Cave to the Trading Post in Phase 3 could be some kind of radio to call in for a "pick up". Where a shuttle comes down and it transports you back to the Trading Post or even better ..... Narmle Spaceport?

You mean an ITV? Those already exist in game, and shuttle camps are frequently up to travel out to it as well.

Not sure if trolling or serious, but as mentioned above we got ITVs.

Just cutting the crunch of having to load in load out load in load out for Hans part would be great.

And yea, in a period where communicators and wire transfers are easily available, no reason Nym wouldn't use one.
