Proposal
The creation of a new item and/or items that allows players to craft an item with embedded text that will be visible upon examination of those items and while those items are listed on vendors/bazaar terminals.
Justification
There are currently very few methods in game for players to communicate via long form text. Of those (things like the ability to add an Item Description while you're listing something on a vendor) - they are limiting in terms of what you can do with them and aren't tied to the physical item.

The intent of this request is to allow players an avenue to create items they can be creative with to enhance communication and deliver information to other players in the Galaxy.

In discussions with my fellow Senators, we believe this short list is just the start of what this change would enable:

-The creation of community libraries
-Player run treasure/scavenger hunts
-In Game 'How-To' guides for new players
-New marketing opportunities for cities, guilds, and merchants
-Personalized player backstories to enhance our RP Community
-Player Created Newspapers

..the possibilities truly are endless.
Motivation
The driver behind this is really to provide our players with a new way to personalize the Galaxy.

We would love to get a general sense of support from the community to gauge whether this is something worth pursuing.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
:)

This would be a great QOL improvement for Roleplayers, in addition to providing some great opportunities for player interaction in general. I fully support this!

I always assumed there were char string limits to text ingame as well as the database. So large scale articles were best handled by exterior websites.

I love the idea of player created books for so many reasons. I believe this would really help open up so many possibilities for the entire community, not just the roleplayers. I can't upvote this enough.

Yes - Regardless of what we do, we have to work within the confines of the system.

I'll clarify when I say 'long-form' and specifically mention books - I am not requesting that people be able to write novels in-game. The examples I gave as far as 'Notes/Books/Parchment' were more of the visual side of the types of items we'd like to see that can be created.

I'd like to see more text than what is currently available to be tied to an item like naming a bag, or the item name.

There will definitely be character limits - so I apologize for the lack of clarity on that.

Love it , could even use in chronicles for clues and puzzles, player events.

I did a pv for combination locks, with this player events and quests could be awesome

This is a feature I love in Project Zomboid, it enhances immersion, and effectively creates almost limitless possibilities. Upvoted !
