Proposal
I propose that harvester owners receive an in game email when their structure stops operating, whether from loss of power, full hopper, or resource despawning.
Justification
Ever wonder if your harvester is still running? I do.

This proposal looks to add another QoL feature for miners and crafters to keep their toons from making treks back out to their (possibly very remote) field to check harvesters, giving them time back to do other things.
Motivation
I hate running out to my harvesters to see that they’re <50% full, or I forgot to put power in one of my harvies and it’s been sitting idle for two days, or simply that it despawned 5 mins after I checked it.
Receive an email when your harvester stops.

Or maybe I suggest a command which is like /locate that tells you the status of your used lots.

Such as maintenance / power remaining, hopper capacity, current extraction rate (this will be 0 for off/full/no resource).

The devs would have to recode how harvesters work. Harvesters are not like factories or other structures. Harvesters do not make their calculations on amounts in hopper, power, or maintenance until open them. That is the reason why we get those harvester bugs that eat resources, power, or maintenance.

That is a very interesting point that I had not considered.

If that is the case, it does make me wonder if we can remotely “open” the harvesters via a data pad option when harvesters are installed with a new module made by architects.

This would effectively remove the need for dozens of emails and you could check the status of each harvester remotely on a whim.

If creating UI for all your buildings and the status of those buildings was possible - that would actually be kind of dope. Locations, harvester status, maintenance/power...even if you couldn't see what the resources inside your harvesters were..knowing if they were on or off would be a nice feature..especially when you walk away thinking you put power in all your harvesters..this would be an easy way to see you may have missed one before you find out 2 days from now and realize you missed out on those resources. The wheels are turning..

Yes!!!

That’s exactly what I I was insinuating but poorly conveying.
