swg retention rewards from original release.

swg retention rewards from original release.
This idea/suggestion is Open. You can respond to ask questions or discuss the idea and either vote it up or down if you believe it should or should not be implemented, respectively. Popular suggestions and ideas will be considered by the development team to become reality in-game.
Proposal
It is my proposal that swgr make these rewards available again. as a purchase option. sell tokens similar to the fortitude tokens or make them available for purchase on your website. now that they are no longer available any where else. this would bring in large amounts of financial resources for development and support. don't make them a rediculous amount of money. but making them a fair cost would do alot for the support for the game. as it is now the fortitude tokens are almost impossible to get for anyone that was not on the game in the very early days. or is not a youtuber.
Justification
it would make those of us that played the original very happy because of all the stuff we can't get back.
Motivation
i played the original. lol
When the game was originally out. you could get rewards for paying your monthly fees and for inviting others to the game.

I agree, I literally will never be able to play enough to get the tokens needed for anything. I love the game and server, it is just another way to support it.

The best way to get Fortitude Tokens is to be active in the game and participate in the live events when they're held.

For instance, this past weekend, I received 100 tokens for watching the induction of the new Senate. A few weeks ago, I got 75 tokens for sitting through most of the Senate debate.

The Live events are listed on the Discord.

It still takes a while to earn up to the big rewards, but that is the point. They're to reward the participation in the server.

It could prove to be tricky.

"X" amount of donations would provide you with "N " tokens gets to be seen really quickly as a pay to play, or selling a licensed product.

It could potentially raise the alarm at the "House of the Mouse" over copyright/trademark issues.

House of the Mouse also has other worries, like their products constantly failing. Especially with their first open world starwars game. Which implies SWG doesn't exist as their product.

Do you think it would look good on them to sue a product that isn't related with a honestly joke claim that easily falls into fair use on a game that already scales the line of abandonware into a product and type that they abandoned the lore of?

I could see them doing it if the developers were making money, but this is going to the server to run and donations.

I'm simply stating there are better ways to increase your acquisition of Fortitude Tokens without resorting to having people buy them.

And, I have seen/studied cases where the Mouse went after daycare centers with their trademarked characters simply painted on a wall. Yes, they would come after all of the SWG servers. That is also why there was a huge push to get a 'new' server booted from Reddit for wanting to charge people a fee upfront to play. They were calling it a "Mandatory Donation".

I don't see why donations couldn't give you tokens.
That too has been discussed elsewhere and as already stated would be tricky/risky at best. They already have a reward system and this is a old idea from over a year ago brought back to life.

It is simple, really......and SWG was built around this whole premise:

If you want the rewards, you'll have to put in the work.

If you want tokens: Log in, participate in live, log bugs, put in the work....it is that simple

Log in rewards have been really weird for me. I log in all my toons every day and still can't keep a streak. Then again I haven't been able to rank up since the update.

Are you bugged or not reading them right? I know it can bee a bit confusing because it rolls over and restarts numbers

You currently have a few ways of earning fortitude tokens;
- Daily login rewards (1 per day)
- Testing published requested quests/instances/locations on the test server.
- Finding bugs via the bounty board / finding unknown exploitable bugs and reporting them.
- Assisting the marketing team with making content.

There are also several other undocumented ways of earning them such as assisting the senior leadership team with specific tasks.

@Derpyh if you are experiencing issues with your login, please submit a ticket so that it can be investigated.
