PETRANAKI TOURNAMENT
Today we are announcing the call to arms for the third bi-annual Petranaki Tournament.
The Petranaki Tournament is a special week-long event that escapes the nuance of factions and guilds for a more civilized, global bloodsport. Players sign up and join different teams and earn rewards for simply going out there and dying. We asked the community how many teams they wanted, and the what we heard back was 3, so welcome back teams Acklay, Nexu, and Reek!
During the Tournament, the only PvP-based activity available will be through the Tournament. GCW and PvP mechanisms, including Watchtowers, Base Busting, Special Forces PvP, Player Bounty Hunting, GCW Rank Decay, Dueling, and other TEF-mechanics will be disabled.
At the conclusion of the tournament there will be a new GCW season along with some mechanical updates, where all planets will reset their control and officer ranks get stripped. More info on that can be found in our Discord announcement.
If you sign up to participate, all characters on your account whose combat level is >= 54 will be drafted into the tournament and will be PvP flagged against the opposing teams at all times. The only exception is a two-minute timer after cloning, which will exempt both you and any enemies from attacking each other.
There is no Winner in the Petranaki Tournament; it is a celebration of bloodshed. It is a week in which glorious death will be awarded.
On April 11, a virtual draft event will take place (not in-game), more details on this to be announced soon. After all drafting has taken place, a pre-battle period will begin where teams will be automatically assigned, and players will gain access to an in-game and Discord channel for their team, to allow for initial coordination. Any players who sign up after the draft will be assigned randomly.
The Tournament will begin in the following hours after the draft is concluded and last for nine days until 23:59 GMT on April 20.

- Characters that are below CL54 will not be automatically flagged for PvP even if the player signed up for the event. However:
- If your alternate character below CL54 is spotted in the open by opposing team players, they may use Report a Jedi to indicate you as an enemy scout.
- If you receive enough reports, you will be flagged for PvP.
- The above only applies for players who consent to PvP in the event.
- Player bounty missions will not be able to be accepted or completed (NPC bounties will function as expected).
- If you sign up for the tournament and do not participate, you will not receive any rewards
- Captains are welcome to create their own Discord servers; however, a channel will be made in the main Discord for your team.
- Watchtowers will be disabled and ranks will not decay during the event.
- Late sign-ups (post-draft), if accepted, will be assigned to a team by staff.
- Excessive kill trading will make you ineligible for rewards.
- Abusing the Report a Jedi function to flag noncombatants who are merely going about their business will make you ineligible for rewards and may result in action against the account.
