PlayerVoice, our forum where any member of the community can post a suggestion or idea which can be voted on by other players. Popular suggestions are then considered for implementation, is undergoing a change in the review process.
Effective immediately, the development team will not review or consider PlayerVoice posts for implementation until they have been sponsored by a Galactic Senator. Any Galactic Senator can sponsor any suggestion, regardless of area (which will be indicated by the prefix tags attached to the post), but a post must be sponsored to be considered by the Development Team. Notwithstanding, the Development Team may continue, at its discretion, to close PlayerVoices that will definitively not be considered or implemented for whatever reason.
The purpose of this change is to encourage collaboration and discussion among the community before allocating developer attention. Frequently, users post to PlayerVoice with ideas that already exist, already have plans, are impracticable, or already have been considered, which the Senate is much more aware of, so their filtering will help the development team prioritize suggestions of merit. The intention of this change is not, however, to prevent ideas from gaining visibility just because the Senate does not favor them, which is why posting the ideas is still allowed.
The previous criteria setting a minimum account age of 90 days before posting to PlayerVoice remains in effect because we believe this threshold is important to ensure new members have time to become accustomed to the nature of SWG Restoration and the unique aspects of our community before engaging in conversations about its future.
