The SWG Restoration Roadmap depicts where we are and where we're going with our project's development from a birds-eye feature-level view and is an overall reflection of our goals for the next several years. Anyone in the community, working with the Galactic Senate, can also share their suggestions and ideas on PlayerVoice, where popular ideas upvoted by the community are considered for implementation by the Developement Team.
If this adventure sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, consider joining our team of volunteers reviving the best game ever made by getting involved.
These are features and content that are designed and in the implementation stage with intended release within the next couple of major updates.

Rank up and earn exclusive and time-limited titles and badges, and even the most elusive thing for PvPers: Money.
- Regional Governors:
Expanding on the existing Officer Rank and region defending system, Regional Governors will work their way up the political ladder and protect the areas they hold dear, influencing the galaxy-wide GCW score (Officer Ranks will be rebalanced and made more open to all players).
- City Seiges:
Player Cities are the new front of the war, and you'll need to defend them. Build up defenses and shelter a garrison, and defend against waves of enemy troops trying to take your city with your friends and neighbors. Or go on the offensive and wipe out the defenses of other cities.
- War Profiteering, Logistics, Morale:
The Galactic Civil War is a complex machine, and you can now influence it in new ways. Supply your faction with resources, weapons, and vehicles to keep the war machine running. Influence the morale of your faction and the enemy's, and even make a profit off the war.
These are features slotted into our development timeline that we've solidified as future content and are currently ideating over in partnership with the Galactic Senate.
- Player Inquisitors and the Order:
Those who seek the Force must choose: hide in the shadows or risk everything to restore balance. The spark of a restored Jedi Order… to restore their Ranks and reclaim the knowledge of the Jedi Masters. But the Inquisition is closing in, swaying the very Balance of the Force, and hunting down all else who dare try to weild this power, under the wrathful Dark Lord of the Sith.
- Force Ranking Systems:
Force users and Inquisitors will be able to advance their characters through challenges of wit and might against the world and other players, unlocking an even greater control of the Force and earning their spot amongst the most elite and powerful... but at what cost?
- Parsec seasonal content:
Compete with the start of new bi-annual seasonal challenges, known as Parsecs, for exclusive season-specific rewards and rank on new Leaderboards to cement your galactic prestige. It will culimate in a Petranaki tournament and an explosive reset to the Galactic Civil War.
- Gambling and Social systems:
Entertainers will embark on their new enterprise: encouraging players to gamble their credits away! Sit down at a Sabaac table and try and get the host to raise the maximum bet so you can experience life as a galactic high-roller. Prepare to be entertained in all new ways as we continue to expand their role in the galaxy.
- The Syndicate Swell and Nar Shaddaa:
With 2.0, dive into a new criminality system, led by Smugglers with opportunities for criminality or heroism, with potentially dire consequences. Nar Shaddaa will be the new home for this criminal underwodld in a series of unfolding updates.
These are features and content that we’re still exploring or have brainstormed on but haven’t officially adopted them as part of our development timeline. Items in this category may change drastically or be deprioritized.
- Non-Force Ranking Systems:
Jedi don't get to have all the fun. Additional factions are coming into the fray, including Mandalorian and Underworld factions, allowing them to increase their own strength and rank up in a similar system as the FRS.
- Artisan Renaissance:
Additional tools, systems, and player infrastructure to keep the galactic economy on track, including Merchant drop off/pick up boxes, vendor customization, new structure permissions, elite harvesters, changes to surveying, and a recalibration of crafting stations and tools.
- Mini-Events:
At least three new content areas; a Casino, a Nunaball Arena, and a Podracing Track. These exciting minigame experiences allow for players to explore new parts of the Star Wars galaxy while competing for ranks and rewards.
- A New World, and Death Star II:
Redacted by Order of the Empire.
