The SWG Restoration Roadmap depicts where we are and where we're going with our project's development from a birds-eye feature-level view and is an overall reflection of our goals for the next several years. Anyone in the community, working with the Galactic Senate, can also share their suggestions and ideas on PlayerVoice, where popular ideas upvoted by the community are considered for implementation by the Developement Team.
If this adventure sounds like something you'd like to be a part of, consider joining our team of volunteers reviving the best game ever made by getting involved.
These are features and content that are designed and in the implementation stage with intended release within the next couple of major updates.
- Heroic Jewelry and Combat Evolution:
With the addition of the final Heroic instances, experience the next chapter of CU-inspired combat on Restoration with new and enhanced profession identities. Skill tree updates and Heroic Jewelry will bring tons of new abilities and customization to all professions.
- Ranger:
Bring the new dynamics of camouflage, subterfuge, and guerilla warfare to the battlefield with the remastered Ranger Profession and Scout tree. Using new traps and increased mobility, you can combine it with existing professions to bring entirely new tactics and capabilities to solo and group combat.
- Restuss:
Relive the story of the fallen city with the opening of this iconic PvP zone enhanced with all new group PvP mechanics. Unlock new Ultimate abilities designed and usable specifically within Restuss, expanding on the lore of the city and bringing new group tactics to bear in this eternal warzone.
- New Player Species:
Expand the way you tell your Star Wars story through our first iteration of New Playable Species, focused on entertaining, political, and force sensitive sentients, including: Bith, Cerean, Chiss, Devaronian, Gran, Iktotchi, Kel Dor, Mirialan, Nautolan, and Neimoidian.
- Jedi Knight:
Deepen your connection to the Force and unlock its powerful secrets... and the danger that come with it. The first expansion of the iconic high risk, high reward class will bring new power and gear, alongside new mechanics such as the Report TEF and longer ghost timers.
These are features slotted into our development timeline that we've solidified as future content and are currently ideating over in partnership with the Galactic Senate.
- Parsec seasonal content:
Compete with the start of new bi-annual seasonal challenges, known as Parsecs, for exclusive season-specific rewards and rank on new Leaderboards to cement your galactic prestige. Through the new Dailies and Weeklies, there will be more than ever to do in the game.
- Gambling and Social systems:
Entertainers will embark on their new enterprise: encouraging players to gamble their credits away! Sit down at a Sabaac table and try and get the host to raise the maximum bet so you can experience life as a galactic high-roller. Prepare to be entertained in all new ways as we continue to expand their role in the galaxy.
- Force Ranking Systems:
Force users and Inquisitors will be able to advance their characters through challenges of wit and might against the world and other players, unlocking an even greater control of the Force and earning their spot amongst the most elite and powerful... but at what cost?
- The Syndicate Swell and Nar Shaddaa:
With 2.0, dive into a new criminality system, led by Smugglers with opportunities for criminality or heroism, with potentially dire consequences. Nar Shaddaa will be the new home for this criminal underwodld in a series of unfolding updates.
These are features and content that we’re still exploring or have brainstormed on but haven’t officially adopted them as part of our development timeline. Items in this category may change drastically or be deprioritized.
- Non-Force Ranking Systems:
Jedi don't get to have all the fun. Additional factions are coming into the fray, including Mandalorian and Underworld factions, allowing them to increase their own strength and rank up in a similar system as the FRS.
- Artisan Renaissance:
Additional tools, systems, and player infrastructure to keep the galactic economy on track, including Merchant drop off/pick up boxes, vendor customization, new structure permissions, elite harvesters, changes to surveying, and a recalibration of crafting stations and tools.
- Mini-Events:
At least three new content areas; a Casino, a Nunaball Arena, and a Podracing Track. These exciting minigame experiences allow for players to explore new parts of the Star Wars galaxy while competing for ranks and rewards.
- Enhanced Communities:
Interconnection of game systems to Discord, more features to organize and manage your Guilds, improved buildings and spawnable options to customize Player Cities, and a Regional Governor system allowing politics to play a new role in every player’s experience.
- A New World, and Death Star II:
Redacted by Order of the Empire.
