Combat Medic
Profession Overview
Combat Medic is one of the advanced professions in Restoration which branches from the Medic basic profession.
It is primarily used to heal allies at range, via AoE and also to debuff enemy players with Damage over Time effects or lowering their regen rates.
Abilities and Skill Mods
Abilities
- Bacta Jab - Heal yourself or another friendly player in close proximity
- Bacta Toss - Heal yourself or another friendly player with a grenade-like ability ~35m
- Bacta Spray - Heal yourself and all friendly players within 15m (AoE)
- Neurotoxin - Apply a Poison, Health Damage over Time Effect
- Deuterium Toss - Apply a Fire, Health Damage over Time Effect
- Infect - Apply a Disease, Action Damage over Time Effect
- Hemorrhage - Reduce Target Action Regen
- Traumatize - Reduce Target Mind Regen
- Shock - Reduce Target Def vs. Knockdown
- Electrolyte Drain - Reduce Target Movement Speed
- Thyroid Rupture - Reduce Target Attack Speed
- Paralyze - Render the target unable to take action. Any damage will break this effect
- Resusitate Player - Revive Player. Can only be used outside of Combat
Skill Mods
- Healing Efficiency/Efficacy/Potency - Increases healing by 1% per point
- Medical Combat Speed - Increases Speed of Medical Combat Abilities
- Bio-Suppression Efficiency - Increases potency and chance to land Combat Medic debuffs.
- Medical Warfare Efficiency - Increases potency and chance to land Combat Medic dots.
- Augmentation Efficiency - not working as of 1.0
- Medical Assembly - not working as of 1.0
Efficiency is your chance to hit with the ability, which is against the targets base resistance.

If your number beats theirs, you land your dot. However, due to the low amounts of efficiency gained without heroic jewelry you are most likely to be resisted by certain creatures, npcs, or players with decent gear.

Combat Medic Tree
Novice Combat Medic
Novice Combat Medic is the start of your Combat Medic career. It gives you access to your first offensive debuff.
Distance Healing
This branch improves the utility of the Combat Medics Distance and AoE Healing capabilities that were introduced in Medic.
Chemical Warfare
This branch focuses on applying offensive Damage over Time effects.
Bio-Supression
This branch focuses on applying supressive debuff effects to lower Regeneration rates of the Target.
Biological Warfare
This branch focuses on applying supressive debuff effects to lower the Attack Speed and Movement Speed of the Target.
Master Combat Medic
This brings a fully fledged Combat Medic that can efficiently heal with lots of power from Healing Potency, and has the capability to Revive players
