Jedi is a profession that has a unique unlock process, various restrictions, and mechanics that are specific to characters that are Jedi.
Unlock
The Jedi profession is introduced after the player becomes a
Force Sensitive after a certain point, and progressing far enough into the
unlock process. You are given a choice to convert you character into a Jedi profession. You
cannot revert this decision or transfer the Jedi unlock to another character.
If you opt to convert that character into a Jedi, your account will be granted an additional character slot.
- You can claim this additional character slot by logging in and entering the command
/occupyUnlockedSlot
- You may also transfer the additional character slot to another character if you wish, by entering the command
/vacateUnlockedSlot
on that character
Force Disciplines
The Jedi profession consists of five trees, referred to as Force Disciplines. The player will be able to spend their Skill Points in these five trees to shape their own playstyle and flavor of Jedi.
- Lightsaber
- Force Powers
- Force Healing
- Force Enhancement
- Force Defense
Gear
As a Jedi, you will be using
different equipment and weapons compared to non-Jedi characters. Main differences being robes and cloaks instead of armor, and lightsabers instead of blasters or swords.
Mechanics
As a Jedi, there are new mechanics that the player must learn and account for.
Visibility
As a Jedi, you do not want to attract attention to yourself. You want to remain hidden and limit your
visibility.
Jedi Lives
Jedi are given a certain number of lives, depending on their rank. Once a Jedi has exhausted all of their lives, they will become a
Force Ghost.
- A Jedi will lose 1 life if they die in the context of Player versus Environment (PvE)
- A Jedi will lose all lives if they die in the context of Player versus Player (PvP)
Rank | Lives | Ghost Time |
---|
Jedi Padawan | 4 Lives | 18 |
Jedi Knight | 6 Lives | 48 Hours + (12 Hours * FRS Rank, where Knight = 1) from Death (to be determined) |
Force Ghost
As a Force Ghost, the player will not be able to interact with the environment or other players.
They are restricted from:
- Combat
- Trading with other players
- WIP
Alongside these restrictions, Jedi will also incur an XP loss of 500,000 Jedi General XP upon becoming a Force Ghost.
- If the death that caused the Jedi to become a Force Ghost was caused by a Bounty Hunter or another Visibility-related consequence, such as an Inquisitor, the XP lost is 1,000,000 Jedi General XP
If the player has negative Jedi General XP after this loss, they will lose one of their highest-trained Jedi Discipline skills.
- The XP from that skill will be refunded to the player so that they once again have positive XP
- If a player has no Jedi Discipline skills to lose, they will remain in negative XP
