This page provides an overview of who and how you can let certain players or groups of players into a structure.
Structure Access Types
- Owner- This is the owner of the structure. There can be only one owner and they have ultimate authority over the structure and specific permissions that only they can use.
- If you are an administrator, you can see the current owner of a structure by radialing the Structure Management Terminal and selecting Structure Management > Status.
- Ownership can be transferred to another person if both players are online and inside the structure via the /transferStructure command.
- Administrators - Administrators generally have full access to manage the structure, with some exceptions. Administrators can't change the administrator list, and they can't destroy the structure. They can decorate the structure and perform other structure management functions.
- Entry List - This is a list of people allowed to enter the structure. They cannot do anything else but walk in the door.
- Ban List - This is a list of all people/groups who cannot enter the structure. The door will never open for them.
Structure Privacy Types
A structure has two privacy types. The owner can change the structure's privacy by radialing the Structure Management Terminal and selecting Structure Management > Privacy. The current privacy setting is displayed before clicking the button as either "Privacy: Private" or "Privacy: Public."
- Private - A private structure (default setting when placing a new structure) can only be accessed by the owner and any players on the Administrator List or the Entry List.
- Public - Anyone can enter a public structure unless they are on the Ban List.
Structure Permission Strings
This section explains how to fill out the entry to add a specific player or group of players to the Entry or Ban List.
NOTE: This only works for the
Entry or Ban Lists; you cannot use this feature with the Administrator List. Only player names can be added to the Administrator List.
- Character - To add a specific character, enter their character's first name.
- Guild - To add a guild to the list, enter guild: followed by the guild's abbreviation tag (the tag that appears below the character names). For example, if your Guild Tag is SWG you would enter guild:SWG.
- City - To add a Player City to the list, enter city: followed by the City's proper name (or as much of it as you can fit in writing the window, it should auto-complete). For example, if your city name is "Tatooian Forces of Light" you might enter city:Tatooian Forces o until you can't type anymore.
- Faction - To add anyone who is a member of a faction, enter either faction:Imperial or faction:Rebel
- Jedi - To allow any player who is a Jedi (has completed the Village and advanced to become a true Jedi character), you can add the word jedi to the list.
