Proposal
Give the player running Battle Med 50% of the buff instead of none.
Justification
SL benefits from their own buffs, seems that Battle Med should get some of the same
Motivation
Give Master Healers a portion of the Battle Med buff, right now they get none. Given how powerful it is, I think 50% of the benefit would be reasonable.
Master healer currently gets zero benefit to themselves for running Battle Med but gets a significant reduction in force regen.

I didn't even know this was a thing.
Seems crazy that the source character for any group buff would not get at least 50% of the buff they're providing to the rest of the group.

In the lore the Jedi performing battle meditation had to be meditating to be able to provide the buff to his/her companions and were severely exhausted afterwards. So I guess in that sense its implemented accordingly.

Jedi don't have to meditate to do battle med in this game. You can be using force run while choking an enemy all while doing battle med. The immersion is already broken.

So without being able to get super detailed about it (I'll leave it to Ornj/Aconite to divulge however much they want), there have been *numerous* conversations about (re)balancing Battle Med, including in allowing it to affect the caster. The TLDR was that it is currently in a balanced place, so its probably best not to touch it.
Knowing those conversations, I'm not opposed to sponsoring this, but I'll see if I can get a Dev to weigh in on this, just to give some amount of transparency.

yeah, true battle meditation... is not something that can be used in game. The scale of the game is too small. And at *that* level, yes, the Jedi or Sith would be basically immobile, helpless.
Nothing wrong with the squad-level moving battle meditation though. Smaller effects, jedi is still distracted and can't include themselves, but at least can take actions.

For me it’s not just about the lore but also game play balance.

Battle meditation is the strongest buff in game, to allow the caster access to this throws in a whole host of various of considerations which need to be explored.

I am not opposed to it personally and do like the idea, but I do worry about what it would do for the overall balance.

It actually already got badly nerf batted, when starting it was +200 acc/def, no global cool-down cap. Now it’s +125 acc/def with an enforced global cd cap, the nerfs had a way higher disproportionate effect on battle med than SL buffs due to it buffing multiple stats…

The other option is strengthen it again (but can’t self buff) to make up for the insane nerfs, or, perhaps more suitable, give its caster full benefit or at the very least 50% benefit as suggested here.

Otherwise sort out the stats in the healer tree away from tough/endur and more to combat speed, Defense and other stats to compensate (from getting no benefit from Battle Med) and give more individual strength, keeping the buff for others.

It’s also the strongest self debuff in game. That part of it hasn’t changed whilst the ability has been factually triple nerfed.

The biggest issue with Battle Meditation is it's not in Enhancer Tree.

Joking aside, I believe there will not be any changes until the big Jedi update.
