Neutral ship hitbox adjustment

Currently neutral ships like the Kimgoila, Krayt, Ixiyen, Rikhxyrk have large hitspheres comparable to those on POB ships. These large hitboxes make them extremely vulnerable in fights.
My suggestion is to adjust these hitboxes to be cubic ones which are more in line with their actual physical form.
Justification
On live and legends these hitspheres have been adjusted to be smaller cubes more inline with the overall size and shape of the ship making them a lot more viable in both pve and pvp.
This change came around the time of GU20 on live and it was well received. The freelance pilots of Resto would greatly benefit from it too.
Motivation
The neutral chasiss are unfairly effected by the current state of their hitboxes. I'd like to get these adjusted to bring them into a more level playing field in all aspects of the JTL.

An instant upvote from me, this is a long time coming for space balance. It's absolutely required for neutral pilots. I don't even like flying the ships but having them be this big is painful.
 
I am on board with these hitbox changes 100%

I really would caution against buffing neutral ships too much, another server did it and it threw off the balance of pilot factions too much (neutral was objectively just better across the board pretty much).

These changes were ones that were made on Live, and I think they'd be very beneficial here too.

This would help out immensely in those level 4 and 5 convoys. Not to mention some of the idiot's array missions.
 
As it stands, neutral ships are definitely a lesser threat than factional ships. Big hitboxes tend to do that.
I think it'd be a good thing to make the hitboxes more accurate.
 
Does this include the Firespray, which also desperately needs it? IMHO, the Havoc could also use an adjusting. They're also neutral ships. Unless you're specifically meaning Freelance ships? Or both neutral and Freelance? Regardless, definite upvote for me as a freelance pilot.

I believe its to gauge interest and they mean freelance. They need to get this one done so they can work on the Firespray too since it's the new process.

TL;DR: It's probably going to be worked on if this becomes popular.

i miss flying my ixyien ... but the huge hitbox is just no fun :P it feels like i get hit twice as often on the freelance pilot compared to similar ships in factions ... =/ i assume the hitbox is why
 
This has been implemented and will be included in an upcoming patch. All neutral ships relevant now use box collision sourced from the GU 20 updates directly or from development changes.
