Remove ground/space player bounty distinction

Proposal
Remove the distinction between ground and space bounties - If you've got a bounty, stay strapped or get clapped on the ground and in space.
Justification
It makes no sense that a Bounty Hunter can't attack their target, who they know have a bounty, just because they aren't in space.
The bounty is placed on the player, not their ship.
Motivation
Space bounties are a pain to hunt down due to the lack of accurate tracking and it's annoying to see the terminal filled with space bounties.
Someone with a space bounty can hang on to their bounty by not launching.
I know I'm not the only one that would enjoy this change.

Edit: My stance on this has changed and I no longer think this is the way to go. I'll leave the proposal unedited for people to further discuss, if needed.

Not a BH so not 100%, but don't all missions on the BH terminal share the same tab?

Could the space bounties just be filtered into a separate tab on the mission terminal (similar to how destroy/delivery missions are split) to solve this issue? That way players have the option of viewing these separately if they wish to do so and can avoid them completely if they don't want to take them. Might as well separate the PvP bounties as well from the PvE missions (if they aren't already).
This is a great idea

I have no issue DBing a crafter, but I get that some people do lol.
I'd be happy if the space tracking was improved because right now I really cannot be arsed picking up a space bounty.
This wouldn't resolve my point about someone being able to hang on to their bounty forever just by not launching and yeah it may seem like a non issue, maybe it's just me it annoys.

Splitting the PvP and PvE bounties would be a great addition too!

That would be my suggestion as well.. Maybe even let True Neutral Ace Pilots take the Bounties even if they are not bounty hunters.. Just to further space PvP

Reviving this thread because it still brings up good points. I am making the argument that a bounty hunter who tracks his target through space should be able to pursue that bounty if they go to ground rather than the bounty target enjoying complete immunity because they are on the not in space (as if that should matter, someone wants them dead, who cares?)

I've seen a lot of pushback from a lot of bigshot ace pilots, most of whom enjoy said immunity, so I am expecting their opinions on the matter to be completely oppositional and unmovable. I know who you are, if I see you, I'm just gonna roll my eyes.

DISCLAIMER: I have no problem with space PvP, or space content personally.

Space bounties should be left alone. Just because you suck at flying, you shouldn’t get catered to. Another PV favoring a small minority of ground pounders that are mad they (by choice) can’t get a target in space.

Yes you do, as in you are no good at it so you feel a change is needed.

Agreed.

This is approved as follows: a bounty mission may originate in space or ground, but once a bounty hunter is actively tracking a target, they can use mechanisms provided to track and pursue that target in both ground and space. This is not a near-future change and more mechanics related to this will be expanded upon in the future.
