Proposal
As most of you already know, you can already scale the font size for the chat window, hover text, chat bubbles, and player/NPC names, etc., but what I'm asking is allow scaling for all the other UI font sizes, like the quest tracker, tool tip fonts, and so on.
Justification
Almost all other text in the game can be scaled already. I've seen other servers and mods that allow for this. Shouldn't be terribly difficult to implement (I hope)!
Motivation
Most of the UI fonts are far too small for me to read without squinting and getting eye-strain over hours long play sessions, and it also makes it much more difficult for me to stream the game because I constantly have to stop what I'm saying and lean in to read the super small text.

Even if it's not an in-game option, even a downloadable separate file, I'd greatly appreciate it!

Yes! I would love this! My eyes hurt and i love this game! I will donate happily! I just can't play for long because the words are so tiny!

Bump :)

Please, please, please prioritise this. I too play on a 4k monitor (43") and even with my glasses, I still squint or look close at the screen to read the small UI text.

I have just started playing and this game is really amazing. But as I am also not the youngest anymore I have problems to read the small fonts in the menu. That was the first issue I noticed.

Luckily I can adjust objects and the chat, but the journal for example is really small, even in 2k resolution.

I guess I will do the same as for LOTRO when I played that back in the days: setting the graphics to a lower resolution.

But some bigger fonts would be really great.

Thanks a lot for all the work you put into this.

I game on 27" monitor and have no issues with UI, but anybody using a gaming laptop often has a 15" screen at best. When my boyfriend plays DDO or this he ends up going at lower than native res to blow up the UI so he can read it on his 15" screen.

To this end I would like to see whole UI scrolling if possible, so there is not as many individual settings you need to tweak. Baldurs Gate 1 & 2 (as we as the newer releases) have whole UI scaling like I am talking about.

I know not everyone is comfortable with using third party tools and stuff, but if you are then there is a fairly decent workaround to this. An upscaling tool called "Lossless Scaling" can be found on Steam for just a few pounds/dollars.
It can upscale whatever active window you choose with a configurable keyboard shortcut (that I have bound to a mouse side button).

I have my toons set up for 1440p in windowed mode. My native screen res is 4K (32" Monitor), at the press of a button this app rapidly upscales to fit the native res. It acts as if it was full screen borderless. It does have limitations though, It can only upscale 1 window at a time so if you're dual boxing then it can get a bit finicky. But with a little practice and careful button setup it soon becomes second nature.
I made a quick and dirty YouTube video if you want to see it working (just search "SWG Restoration upscaling").

Like I said, it won't be for everyone, but it might help someone out while we wait. (y)

Thanks for your suggestions. I will give it a try.

I am using a 27" monitor with 2k resolution. I reduced the resolution to 1920x1080 in order to increase the font size.
It would work nicely for me, but at that resolution the tool bar is not displayed anymore. And without tool bar it is not playable for me.
