Not Implemented Combat BH targets

This idea/suggestion has been flagged as Not Implemented because of a lack of popularity, lack of interest, lack of feasibility, or other determination by the Development Team, so the suggestion will not be implemented. Once a suggestion has been flagged this way, the decision is final. Although the issue may be raised again in the future after a six month cooldown. A response explanation from the Development Team can be found in the thread.

Proposal
Remove the ability for hunted targets to be healed by group members when they have been attacked by a BH. Jedi is in an insanely strong place at the moment and allowing out of combat heals , even if they do flag SF is just pure carebear mechanic and needs stopping. Alternatively allow grouped BH to heal one another
Justification
Jedi are OP and don't need OOC heals.
Motivation
Was removed from live for a reason
Jedi should not be able to receive heals from anyone once they are attacked

Old BH Tef:
  • Comeback potential
  • Fighting against opponents who outnumber you.
  • Could keep jedi in check during group fights.
New BH Tef:
No PvP potential for the week until you can call up enough people for a group fight.

Choosing to be a BH is your choice as being a Jedi is your targets. Your choice does not have the stiff penalties or is hunted frequently where as Jedi are. The xp loss penalty is already pretty severe and you want it so that your target is easier to kill? They have to be tough for a reason. Also if you fail eventually the inquisitors come and then Vader. Yeah though I don't play a Jedi (as of yet but who knows) I would not wish to make them easier targets for you or anyone else. They have earned to be where they are and their profession is a constant struggle so not gonna added to the headache. I have to give this a down vote.

All a jedi has to do is survive 30 secs until they flag and a buddy comes and takes over the healing. Good luck killing jedi at that point.

If a jedi is special forces they are flagged to that TEF and part of the GCW fighting for that side. and yes, they may well be in a group to do that.

You should not be able to walk in and have an unfair pop at one player in a special forces group with the rest being able to do nothing. Go bring your own group and fight, wait for the jedi to not be fighting in a large group, or actually use the fact they are flagged SF to your advantage would be a good idea....hint you could even bring other players!

The change was done because of the cheeses to TEF which is all that will happen again in larger group fights where not being able to heal your group makes no logical sense.

There was a pv where a bounty target would still be able to heal out but not receive heals in a group fight. That seems a good compromise.

This is correct, and seems like this behaviour is actually unintended as patch notes said the following "You may now heal or buff a player target who has a TEF if both you and the target are flagged Special Forces". Seems like the tef logic is applying with just 1 side being SF not both.

Does no one here think that if you're just in a group with a jedi you should have the ability to join the fight?

Like why am I going to kill the entire droid army with Dorki-Wan Blinkobi but then a BH group shows up and I'm just gonna watch them kill him? Jedi group should be able to help. If that's a problem for the BH well bro just go find a time where they aren't grouped. That's part of the hunt, not just rolling up the second you find them and steamrolling with a group of 6 other BH. Come on.

I really don’t think this makes sense

So you just, watch your ally die, instead of being able to help them? Bounty Hunting isn’t supposed to be a balanced fair fight; you’re trying to kill someone for money…?

Bhs cant heal each other either or apply any kind of buffs like SL auras, so the whole tef logic is pretty fucked up, on top of that jedi are meant to be killed by 3+ bhs at least which makes it impossible to bh them if group tef was a thing. And yes carebears will come saying that " BUt YoU aRe sUpPosed tO wAiT fOr ThE pErFeCT MoMEnT tO STriKe yOuR PrEy" thats bs every jedi that is ever on the terms will always be grouped with someone and if he is not dont worry you are 1 click away to your instant safe travel to the ranch!

Aren't you injecting a Roleplay reason for what is supposed to be on this server a balance mechanic? Your own article states BHs are supposed to control the Jedi population. I don't mind denying the proposal at all, but using a roleplay reason is kind of, odd.

Ok that is just wrong. First Jedi are supposed to be op and the ones we have now they are adjusting so they will be weaker and grow stronger as they advance. Second that doesn't make sense at all that your party can't heal you. They also have Inquisitors coming so the whole Jedi thing will slowly change with that as well.

Basically you just want to make Jedi easy for you to kill when you attack them and not actually have to do anything or put forth any effort in actually "Bounty Hunting". FYI it is Tier IV reward and you can only have 1 Jedi. Also Jedi are not the only people BH can hunt.

So basically you are being the carebear crying about it is too hard. My Jedi has never been in a group and I see jedi ghosts all the time so sorry your so inept at hunting and killing them. If you want BH to be as strong as Jedi maybe you should try Inquisitor when it gets here and stop trying to make this server Jedi crappy like all the other servers.

Can we just agree that groups should be able to help eachother out, regardless... and that BH could use some more tools to gain knowledge on their targets and those around them? DE could use more relevance anyway. As could the future Ranger.

While we are on the topic I don't think bounty hunters should be able to hunt within their own faction. It makes no sense.
