Ideas for Ace of Aces rewards and recognition.

Ideas for Ace of Aces rewards and recognition.
This idea/suggestion has been flagged as Implemented so it has (or will be) implemented into the game in some capacity. More information can be found in the post from the development team.
Proposal
1. Of course, there should be a badge and title that shows others the hard work you have done to complete the progression.
2. There should be some sort of benefit for the work. I have suggested a larger number of ships to be made available for the pilot who completes AoA. The current number is 6, and in some of my reading, that number goes up to 10, but I think it could be better. When Wedge Antilles left The Empire, he did not forget how to fly a TIE Fighter, so why should we? Now, I have also suggested that we make every ship that an AoA has ever been certified on be available in their fleet. Now, I have heard from others that they do not wish to see Rebels fly Imperial Craft, as well as vice versa for cannon, but we see neutral factions flying Rebellion certified craft, so I think we can make each faction specific craft available with the addition of one ship from each other faction. I.E; if a CorSec AoA pilot wants, they can pick one Imperial Craft to add to their personal fleet and one Rebel Craft. Han Solo was a Rebel Captain flying the famous Millennium Falcon, Sabine Wren flies a custom painted TIE, so why should not the best pilots in the galaxy be able to do the same.
3. Add the ability for AoA pilots to leave to space from their home town, if they have a shutteport. This will bring more spacers into the long progression, just to have the convenience of being able to not have to travel to a star port to get to orbit and out to work. To keep from the cities loosing the tax generated by shuttle tickets, make the AoA pilots pay a fee to the city in question for the convenience of being able to have their ships be more accessible. It would give a good credit sink, add to the taxes for each shuttle port town and again, make the progression pursuit very much worth the time.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to your feedback.
Jinxie, Pirate Senator
Justification
This, to me, is a win win for all spacers and a great carrot for pilots who are wondering why anyone would do all the work to master 9 or more times. To give the crazy and obsessed spacers real goals to work towards. Feeds the Star Wars nerds in us all with a real prize to work for.
Motivation
The reason behind this is to bring more people into trying to do more than just becoming a master pilot, but actually immersing themselves into the compete pilot story of each squadron in the game. More people in ships and out working means more people in the game looking for better parts, more money to shipwrights for parts, ammo, munitions, paint kits and texture kits, and more money into the towns, for the use of their ports as a path straight into space.
It also gives the idea of neat rewards like being able to fly your favorite fan ship, with out having to stay in one faction or the other. You have already done them all... Pick your ship, Pilot.
Many of us love space enough to work through the entire gambit of all the squadrons the game has to offer. There were rumors of rewards being brought to bare for those who complete the effort and manage to do the deed. What would be a good reward for the effort? Beyond badges or titles, there should be something of substance reward the effort and the time spend in the long pursuit of AoA.

This suggestion has been implemented. Votes are no longer accepted.
Not gonna have mine or others hardwork or ideas stolen by a flase senator who has no knowledge of space I'm afraid and thats what he is doing.

I mean also a big fat no to been able to fly another factions ships. You choose a side and you stick with what your given. thats how things have always worked. whats next he wants rebs to be able to wear stormtrooper armour? :'D

If you're not adding anything constructive to the conversation then you need to keep your insults off of here. Ideas can be mentioned again. Its a conversation about space. Use your space knowledge to help the community.
WHat i have added is a lot more constructive than this whole PV tbh. And facts are not insults just because jinx takes those facts as an insult is his own weakness and shows how much he has mislead and lied to the community.

For the love of God and all that is holy you pissant little toad of a man, get off your high horse and throw away that little paper crown you've made for yourself because you're stuck in a fantasy world of your own delusions about being the "real space senator". It's great you have all this knowledge for a video game but that doesn't make Jinx any less qualified for a position community he won the vote for, which your own clearly evident toxic attitude is reason you lost, full stop. If anything your attitude is essentially a toxic little tumor to this community at this point.

None of your points you've added to this thread are constructive in any form, all they are jabs at Jinx because of your own bruised ego for the election you said to me directly was a "popularity contest". So either grow up and actually be a source of information to the community, or just stay quiet and stop starting these pointless fights.

Apologies to administration, I'm just tired of all this.

As for what Jinx said, I think everything he said is a good idea to motivate some to really dig into space, it's one of my favorite parts of this game and if it gets more people flying and invovled I think its a great idea to at least consider!

Yeah, it's not like we have stories in either Legends/New Continuity or the movies that shows Rebels or Imperials disguising themselves as one another or flying their enemy's ships in order to deceive their enemies... oh wait.

I wouldn't exactly call afk farming space for thousands of hours "hard work". Call it macroing if you want to, but we both know you're full of shit.

You sit around and attempt to lord your knowledge of a 20 year old dead game like you're some kind of messiah. You're a joke.

And in regard to the PV, it'd be nice if an AoA could place a starport terminal in a city, similar to medics/entertainers placing their respective builds. Launch only, not land.

One thing ya have to remember this is a Game. Not a movie. Your not Han Solo your not Bobafett. The scroll in the begingin fo the game say rt in it. Choose your Destiny. This means ya make choices. They come with good and Bad. Wanna fly a tie Go Imperial. Wanna fly a X-wing go reb. Etc Etc. Its not a Everyone gets a cookie game. I mean we can have 3 toons on here its not like ya cant Ace a Faction of the craft ya want to fly.

100%

Watering things down and making one person do it all removes the "choices matter" feel that we all love about this game. So the AoA reward should also be something that is its own, something that makes your choice of acing 9 squadrons matter without watering down other choices.

Fair enough.

That being said, there is no reason a time-and-again proven fighter can't use a ship they've flown before. We see neutral NPC-pilots fly Z-95s and even X-Wings and A-Wings (looking at you, CorSec) all the time - sure, the Empire may be more strict, but I don't see the Rebellion caring, either. Z-95s lore-wise are a common cheap, mercenary starter fighter - not just a Rebel thing.

Edit because I forgot: I don't think you should be able to use EVERY ship from a faction you've Ace'd, because yeah - you choose a squadron, you commit to it. But perhaps a limit, based on how many times you've Ace'd a squadron (limit max of 1 per squadron, or even 1 or 2 per faction [neutral, rebel, empire] because there should definitely be SOMETHING significant for pushing all the way to the top.)

Can ya show me in the lore where ya get blown up and Magically appear at a station Where they can just repair you in 2 seconds and your ready to go like nothing happen? I mean we can go back n fourth.
I love to fly different ships. Dont get me wrong but I also have a ace in each faction so I can.

Still think a Exclusive ship for AOA that any faction ya Hanger into can use.

I agree with that, i would rather see AoA have an actual perk / special reward that allows them to do something a non AoA couldnt do by simply logging into another toon?

Being able to fly opposing factions ships is something we can already do by having different characters and you get at least 2 guaranteed.

Thank you for explaining it in a way I can see. Jafo has been trying to show me where I was looking at this wrong.
I can see what you both mean now and cometely agree.

How about an AoA gets a expansion on their favorite fightert that gives epic mass and makes it super competitive in pve and pvp? Like an additional 50k mass to a ship of their choosing. Makes room for great armor, upgrades to possible weapon and engines, but still reasonable... a vacksai would become super, a jaf would be a nightmare and defenders and heavy xs would become a the stuff of myths and stories...
Just another idea...

I like it but see some issues. the Balence isse somes in where How would me not make it OP. Jedi Alpha isnt a thing we need in space. Ship + gear + Skill = XYZ. Tough call on this idea. Need some Ponder time on it.

There are still plenty of ships in the code that isn't even in R3 yet or in R3 but NPC only. I would much rather ask for a new ship than one we can already fly.
