Proposal
Proposed Changes to Neutrals:
1. Extend flagging down timers from special forces to 5 minutes to align with other factions.
2. Have neutrals show on the war pad when flagged for special forces.
3. Require going to the appropriate recruiter to step down from combatant state to the civilian state.
4. Have neutrals names flash when flagging up and down just like other factions. (If this is a bug then this is just proposing to fix this bug. )
Justification
Align neutrals to match faction standards for staging up and down from Combatant/Special Forces states so all factions are equal or lack of a faction doesn't gives added benefits when flagging for the GCW.
Motivation
Aiming to create a fair and balanced game experiences for all.
This player voice aims to align the standards for staging up and down for participation for the GCW.

As a players who plays two characters, that would neither be a part of either faction, I enjoy the freedom of being able to SF with my friends when it makes sense to do so..

Did a bunch of neutral SF steamroll some factional PvP'ers and flag down before reinforcements arrived?
You still can with this change lol. Nothing about this change prevents you from going SF when you want.

Can someone explain why this player voice is being posted in multiple discords (one of which has the singular purpose of shutting down the restoration server and none of which are related to ground pvp) and everyone is being asked to upvote this to "stick it to Abraxas/Volkish/DEATH"?

It seems like the author of this post has a personal vendetta they are trying to leverage to push changes that would benefit themselves.

Not one person has had a reasonable counter to this player voice. All of the people posting against it are those known for abusing the system. We get it. You don't like fair pvp and love taking advantage of misaligned mechanics. All of you converted from Imperial to Neutral specifically for this purpose. So I can understand why you'd fight it.

Sad that you've outed yourself so publicly that your ability to win is anchored on it.

I prefer we encourage actually joining Reb/Imp faction if one wants to participate in the GCW.

It's not like the GCW is some tacked on battlegrounds queue system. It's a core pillar of the game's entire design.
My favorite part of the collective Star Wars cannon was when there were only two factions in the entire universe ever fighting one another.

Is that why you guys flag down immediately after every fight and run?

My favorite part is how Jedi are all but a myth during this time, but three Sith dark Jedi spawn over and over during treasure hunting.

Or how Leia and the Rebel leadership are in a very vulnerable, known position, but the Imperials don't blast it to ashes from their Destroyers hovering above the planet.

Or how... You see where I'm going with this?

We converted to neutral so we could destroy the several imperial guilds that turned on us. Seems to have worked...

We wiped rebels nightly as imperials, literally nothing has changed by going neutral..except rebels have another pet issue to hide behind and blame for their failings.

Are these points supposed to change what I said? They all work to support it.

No, they don't.

We make changes that don't make sense in the context of the setting all the time, because games are about having fun.

The only reasonable criticism I've seen has been showing up on intelpads reference affecting GCW. Your criticism lacked any real or substantial reasoning.

You clearly don't love PVP with us or this wouldn't be an issue.
I'm not big mad as you boys seem to be, but I do think it's a solid idea to fix flag timers. I could care less about GCW datapad. No one is dumb enough to believe you guys really care about this for any other reason than to continue exploiting it

How does a binary GCW system make the game more fun? We are here to serve as mercenaries and will happily support either factions end goal is the price is right (with the idea being that a unique expression within this game is FUN) and from out perspective any attempts to reduce our ability to immerse ourselves are seen as NOT FUN.

We do care. I would much rather their be a fully functional third faction. Our goal is to not align ourselves with the continued failings of both sides of the GCW and to carve our own path. This is currently the only option for us to do so.

Are you RPing right now?

What about a system created primarily for preventing flagging abuse makes it more or less immersive for you?

Do you think it makes any sense you can shoot a Rebel or Imperial, then immediately flag down and force that faction to act as if it didn't just happen?

Remis is correct that intelpad changes would remain inconsistent- I'm okay with not making changes to intelpad unless neutrals can affect GCW control. But the rest is merely creating a consistent flagging system that prevents abuse.

How does flagging down and running away make any difference? It results in the same thing. It's not like we can flag down and flip factions quickly.
